My idea is to make the PD railgun a bit safer to use, emphasizing the human-in-loop by showing what the turret is aiming at. This would be different from the NDCI boresight as it would not be a line on the HUD, but instead similar to the identified ore info, and shipping with the PD railgun instead of requiring a separate autopilot. Ideally, it would also only show when the turret is actively tracking a target, and not while searching.
