when fighting pirates that are lying in wait near a moonlet my fps drops low to the point of unplayable

#

this was around 15:10 when a minor dip in fps happened while i was still fighting the pirate but about 500m away from the moonlet

i landed on the outer rim, then astrogated to an uranium moonlet which also had a pirate luckily so i could immidiatly test it out

#

there was some minor lag when the pirate started moving, but nothing too serieus

#

but the heavy lag started when the pirate came close to me, turned towards me, and attacked with it's weapons

#

when it left attack range and stopped firing, the lag lessened

#

i also noticed that the fps drop was way less during adrinaline (which activated due to getting close to ringoids)

#

got around 15 fps in adrinaline mode

#

the shipp looked like it had a double MWG microwave emitter, saldy it blew up in the end so i couldn't check and i brought the lifepod back to station

You seem to have some execution time spikes. These lines are much higher than the game would be comfortable with

#

You are also running physics at 30fps, is that intentional?

#

What is your CPU utilization when you play?

i don't know why my physics is set to 30fps, bought this game 3 years ago, might've set it at 30fps then but don't know why now, i'll set it to 60fps next test run.

my regular cpu usage is around 10% in any case, but i'll try to see what it is when i get into the same situation again

#

did a small test switching back and forth 30-60fps on the physics during combat near a regular moonlet, but didn't get any heavy lag with either 30 or 60fps.
CPU didn't exceed 10-11% usage in task manager either

#

i'll have to try again with an uranium moonlet later in the day
