#[1.64.6] Driver ammunition magazines exceed their specced mass flow rate when using the Tetsuo HMX

The flavour text on the driver magazines give a supply rate to the drivers, however this can be exceeded, and is especially obvious with the Tetsuo HMX (i presume a limit could also be surpassed when using multiple mass drivers on a smaller magazine.)

The test i performed used two HMXes and a 1000kg magazine, which by the stats should take 10 seconds to completely deplete, however with both HMXes firing it takes only a second.

Nice catch! I wonder if the solution for this one is having a new series of magazines optimized for high delivery. Said magazines should be considerably more expensive than the "basic" ones.

The delivery rate is a flavour only.

you make a valid point for HMX through 🤔

<@&454526668405604353> how would you prefer we handle that?

I can implement delivery limits for mass-driver storage without much issue. I'm leaning towards doing that, since we already have that stat listed.

#

Yeah, this is how I'll handle it. It opens up some fun possibilities, like having bigger storage with slower delivery.

The guns themselves have storage, which should briefly let them exceed the limit, yes?

#

Their on-board storage should probably be based on what's required for a second of sustained fire, in cases where fire rate can exceed supply.

oooh like ultracaps/batteries but for ammo flow?

Well, for instance if you don't have ammo storage, you still launch with a few shots. Those few shots should be exempt from the delivery rate.
