#Ability in tuning menu to deflect weapon's centrepoint

Add the ability to rotate a weapon +/- 10 to 25 degrees (perhaps depending on weapon) when tuning.

Not present for 360 degree weapons such as the point defense microwave turret, or high thrust weapons like the Kinskey (sp) effect.

This would make it possible to have two weapons (mining laser, railgun for instance) on the low-stress hardpoints which intersect a reasonable distance from your ship.

Misalignment then offsets from this angle, of course.

The way it was typically done on ye olde airplanes, was rather than looking at the angle (which of course in the end it translates to) they were thinking in terms of convergence distance - basically how far in front of you should the guns hit the centre of the reticle.

While in the end of course it's just trigonometry to determine the right angle for a given distance, speaking in terms of distance is more intuitive.

You would just tune you convergence point to be say 500 meters in front of your ship, or whatever your comfortable fighting distance is.

#

The actual offset angles would be quite small too, so i suspect it is not required to actually animate the weapon being offset.
Convergence at 500 meters should be well below 1 degree of angle if the weapons are 10 meters apart.

I like the convergence distance. Far more user friendly.
