#Pressing ALT during Pilot-induced Adrenaline ends it. Cooldown more forgiving.

Sometimes my pilot is freaking out about a collision they consider a problem.

  • The BBW is coming in too hot.
  • I am flying near a rock but I know there is actually no chance of collision.
  • The rock in my face is literally being blasted by my gun / engines

Often these slowdowns do not help, they just drag out unimportant parts of the game and are actually annoying. So people turn this cool feature off.

Second: The Pilot induced slowdown should not put the manual slowdown on cooldown. OR pressing Alt to cancel it should make the cooldown shorter. As put by pulse

"pilot, I needed that adrenaline to lineup this tricky shot/Maneuver, The adrenaline I cannot use because you used it two seconds ago, and we are dead, thanks pilot."

**Potentially adrenaline time could be measured in seconds. **

Every 10 seconds of game time restore 1 second of adrenaline time
Pilot adrenaline lasts until threat gone or Alt pressed (or adrenaline time used up)
Player adrenaline lasts until all adrenaline time used up or Alt pressed.
Perhaps starting adrenaline manually costs a second of adrenaline time, if you have more than 1 second left.

This way you are rewarded for ending adrenaline ASAP.

you can cancel the automated slow down by hitting the adrenaline key. the issue is it's a button you have to keep pressing to keep the pilot from ODing (or just being annoying). I don't actually know if the pilot using adrenaline puts the player usage on cool down. but ether way, I'm not sure having to fight with you pilot is a good thing to have in game. and thus, a toggle is the tuning menu for experience players would be ideal in my opinion. but I do say it's not that big of an issue for me, so meh. 🤷‍♂️

Yeah, might as well toggle that off

Temporary (or final) solution - do not take pilots on your dives 🦾

But honestly, what would be their use during general mining/salvaging gameplay? I personally prefer a second geologist to speed up chunk identification

Edit: forgot they give additional adrenaline

I mean, that's true! I never really use my pilot. I just like to know that I have a full crew.

Of course, I mostly fly one of my 3 titans. So I bring along the entire 12 person family, with 3 mechanics and 3 geologists.
