pretty much what is says on the tin
I probably wouldn't open up a colour wheel in game, but some kind of options menu would be cool
perhaps each ship could get a couple colour palettes to choose from to provide customizability along with uniqueness for each ship
I don't know if this would be any more difficult for the OCP or not, but it would be nice to make your ship more yours.

A HUD needs to be designed grounds-up with such ability in mind. Retrofiting that kind of capability to existsing HUDs would be practical.
