Currently, if you open OMS to change something in the mechanic menu, or check the distance or travel time to the selected object, the current astrogation gets canceled and the Match Velocity to Trajectory percentage is reset.
Expected behavior:
Astrogation continues unless the player chooses to cancel it by pressing a button, such as in xthas's suggestion:
What if the "Plot a course" button is replaced by "Cancel trajectory calculation" whenever astrogation is active? If you cancel, the default button comes back, so you can immediately plot another course if you change you mind.
