If you have an arm on your ship maybe have an event generate where you find a damaged obonto needing some part that your ship can take. You would have to travel to a failed obonto and grab the part from the spinning wreck. Upon returning pirates are attacking the Obonto, after dispatching them you cna deliver the arm to one of the Obonto's arms and receive payment.
