a cargo bay mod (can be used with mpus or baffles) that has a rake that moves rocks to the "bottom" of the cargo bay

So hire an Intern with a Big Pole and tell them to Jam the Rocks into the MPU? Could you maybe give a Bit more Detail than just "Rake"

it's a bunch of metal poles that rake "down" the cargo bay

kinda like auto litter boxes

That sounds like it would cause Lag.

mini thrusters using reaction mass to propel chunks towards the MPU maybe? wouldnt even need that much of them, the rocks tend to bunch up right outside of the MPU anyways, so some thruster giving them a shove to get in wouldnt be that hard.

cargo bay baffles that move "down"

This has been Suggested before. One of the Issues with these ideas is that they are hard to model using the Physics engine (Without Cheating and being "Gamey")
Another is that it risks things Phasing out of the Cargo Hold.
Finally: It really risks causing performance issues in lower end Machines.

the baffles work

Yes the Cargo Bay Baffles that are in the Game work. But what you are Suggesting will cause Issues. Especially when you are Gathering Anomalies.
Honestly once you get the hang of the Flight Controls these would be obsolete as you will know how to manage your Cargo Bay. So having Koder spend a Lot of time getting these working when they are just a "Crutch" Item for new players is a waste of Dev Time.

#

Sorry if that sounds like a "Git Gud" response but it is accurate in this case. Learning the Flight Controls is far better than filling your Cargo Hold with stuff to move the cargo for you

Also given each ship has a Different Cargo Bay Size and Shape Koder would have to make one for each. Which is a Lot of work
