#Ominous cue sound and visuals dont disappear
1 messages ยท Page 1 of 1 (latest)
This doesn't sound like a bug.
You just didn't discover everything that was to discover around you,.
so, how far away did you jump?
had same issue. pasting report from duplicate.
I've been jumping around 20+ waypoints to update them and the margin will just not go away. There have been random events at some points but the margin will just not disappear for any reason. I haven't finished the dive, but I figure I can post mid-dive logs.
music def not continuous, but I honestly never pay attention to the music cues enough to distinguish them, I depend more on the visual cues.
Okay, let's see if there are common threads there
do you have an estimated time as of when that started?
@brittle thistle ๐
Unfortunately no, but I'm almost positive it started right after the first astrogation to WP
Okay, let me peek into your logs now

So, the moonlet?
I think it was a Moonlet with Uranium Caves, not sure how they're tagged in logs.
I'm not sure if relevant, but the computer has been put to sleep at least once during this dive
although, I think the issue came up before that.
can't be sure
let me see the jumps itself
so, the only way this can happen if a thing that causes the mood change persisted with you; mood needs to be nudged towards "mystery" each frame, or it will re-set itself to the default.
So either something didn't despawn (which is also a performance consideration), or something followed you (which might mean it's not a bug)
I see you encountered wild companions, and one of them sticking around to you could be a reason.
but that's a guess; that's why I need to figure out now when that started, look in logs into "things spawned in" and compare that to "things spawned out"
here are all of your astrogation jumps:

the name here is what it was named on your list; so "moonlet" would be something that was called "moonlet"
I also note that there is more than one dive in these logs? The report is for the latest one?

Yep the latest dive, which is still in progress btw. Some ships did follow me across jump points but they all eventually went away, some after 1 jump some after 2.
you still have that music going?
@brittle thistle Okay I really need to know which music is playing for you. Could you record few seconds? I have a suspicion.
current music, should point out that it has changed across the dive, sometimes is more upbeat sometimes i hear some old west tune
and it's the same music all the time?
right now you have a lifepod near and that's would trigger what we hear right now.
Been carrying the lifepod for about 5-6 jumps, I let it out of the hold to pick it up with hangar
got it
So, what is going on here is that the dead bodies don't ever despawn
so if you didn't collect all of them when they appeared, they will keep the "spooky" mood going until you return back to the station
