Corpses should no longer become hotter than the Sun and explode the ships/stations they are on.
In some cases, this happened to corpses inside EVA suits, causing them to heat up the air inside to temperatures hotter than a star. And when that helmet was removed, all air in the station would superheat, expand, and cause the station to explode.```Lmfao

I usually just jump straight to salvaging
As long as you are quick you can grab some real valuable stuff on the first few ships you find and get enough money from the black market to go legit

there's always gig nexus work to carry junk around KLEG for a few hundred credits each trip
and you can easily get money for a licence that way

First courier job taught me to make sure I actually grab the item I'm supposed to deliver from the kiosk
Second one taught me that sometimes the named ship is actually a derelict that this person is on by herself so I need to just blast out and use the gig app to show how far away I am
Got myself a bed installed (secondhand) and repaired it completely

anyone know how to work the Tasks?
I've figured out that I can set multiple construction orders from the Install menu
but when I do so, game complains that there's no construction materials and adds another task to go and get them
my character has them, but doesn't try to deliver them, even if I tell them to resume tasks

upgrades proceed apace, getting used to the new spacesuit. Learning I need to place my Merchant zones more carefully. Also, New Pants sure make in-ship repairs SO much easier. And I've gotten a second-hand turbo- pump to upgrade the airlock so I stop venting so much atmosphere

its also helpful to keep the navigation terminal and utilities closet next to the airlock

And then went southwards for a bigger Cargo bay

I got a new turbo air pump that I wanted to install into my airlock
I used it on turbo to pump air in and accidentally got the pressure to 3000kpa, it damaged the door. Fixed the door, tried to do a space walk, tried to use the pump from within the airlock, there was no access
so I have no clue how to work the turbo pump or how I should set it up

You usually need to pump air out of the airlock

Airlock gets flooded with air when you enter it anyways
So the only reason why you should mess with it is to suck air out of it to preserve air loss when space walking

I keep trying to install the pump, and testing to open the control panel, and it keeps sending my character outside the airlock
it's not really useful if I have to spend a lot of power to constantly pump the air out, that's going to tank my battery power

The way I got it to work is making it vertical

uninstalled another wall and moved it one space up, and that worked
and tbh it doesn't matter which way it's installed, it's reversable
but I did install it correctly and then put an oxygen tank on the other side
I keep overpressuring the compartment but tbh it's fine. I can take some atmosphere out from time to time

Ship's been mostly maintained and I've properly powered up two more rcs thrusters. I'm now starting to black out at full thrust!
Made my first 100k as well. Now to properly set up the ship so it's in different compartments and organized well
Or I can make the ship even bigger and make the problem even worse 😄
