I think there is actually some sort of glitch happening around dodge rolls, because i'm pretty sure i caught it happening in my new game i just started where iwas fighting the gaol knight

Where it seems like if you get hurt during a roll somehow, the damage triggers multiple times (in my case, i got winged by a bolt and my health bar disintergrated)

and his charge is just really easy to have that happen on, is my assumptioon

I mean, it's a combination of ||high damage, extremely high health, janky hurtboxes, relatively few openings and...the fact it seems to be encouraged to be a Torrent fight but using Torrent is an awful idea because even with Spirit Blessing 6, he routinely got oneshot||

but since these dont, if you give them Fire Art, they gain huge fire damage scaling with faith... and keep their physical scaling with faith too

||The Omen are almost certainly related to the Hornsent, as they are said to have cursed blood and howling spirits haunting them, which reminds me a lot of the Watchful spirit spell you can get from the Hornsent Grandma, which she also uses to try to calm you down if you attack her with the divine dancing lion mask equipped||

||Notably there is a direct connection between these watchful and howling spirits in the form of the Horned Bairn, and the Omen Bairn and Regal Omen Bairn. The Hornsent uses a Horned bairn in battle and his armor even gives it a buff, and it holds a very very striking similarity in function and lore to the omen bairn and regal omen bairn||

When Mohg stood before her, deep underground, his accursed blood erupted with fire, and he was besotted with the defilement that he was born into.), which is the same goddess that the Bloodfiends worship. In the Bloodfiend Hexer's ashes she is mentioned as their saviour (Long ago, a subjugated tribe discovered a twisted deity amongst the ravages of war, and they were transformed into bloodfiends. The mother of truth was their savior.). The Outer God talisman also mentions the tale of the Bloodfiends, and indeed can be found in a ruin where Bloodfiends are performing worship (A talisman engraved with the lore of an outer god. Raises arcane. The clan, who lost everything in the great fires, peered upon the corpse of their ancestor, normally an act of sanctity, and saw in its shadow a twisted deity. The clan had suffered such torment that the horrible thing was taken as an object of worship.), and the way they are described in the talisman as having "lost everything in the great fires" means they could be descended from the Hornsent people, who were put to death in the fires of Messmers flames by the will of Queen Marika the Eternal||

||Which of course was a perpetuation of the suffering that Marika's people by the Hornsent themselves. The spirit by the whipping hut near Bonny village mentions that shamans lot in life is to be whipped and put into Jars to become saints, which is supported by the text of the Tooth Whip (As the wounds ripen they grow inflamed and ooze pus. The flesh of shamans was said to meld harmoniously with others.). The fate of the Shamans is then further shown with the abundance of pots in places such as Bonny village as well as the church inside the Shadow Keep which begs mercy for the Shamans, as well as the Shaman village which is the lynchpin. The Shaman village is empty but two notable items can be found here, first of which is the Golden braid, a cut off braid of Marika's hair whose lore states that the Shaman village was Marikas home (What was her prayer? Her wish, her confession? There is no one left to answer, and Marika never returned home again.) as well as the Minor Erdtree incantation which further cements the idea that all of Marika's people were butchered and turned into pots by the Hornsent for their holy rituals (Secret incantation of Queen Marika. Only the kindness of gold, without Order. Creates a small, illusory Erdtree that continuously restores the HP of nearby allies. Marika bathed the village of her home in gold, knowing full well that there was no one to heal.). The flesh of shamans having the ability to meld harmoniously with others is also likely the origin of the practice of grafting, as the most notable example of it in the game is indeed of her bloodline as well.||
