You can get there from ||Shadow Keep. In the open courtyard area early on with all the flaming boats, there's a ladder leading down. Follow it, take the coffin, go through the dungeon (pain) and end up down in that area.||

After a point I realized ||its a good thing for me to get hit with the grab since he stops doing shit and just takes dot damage while Miquella does his ASMR, and I can just clear it with the broken rune||

Okay, so penguins hot tips.

There are two kinds: armoured and unarmoured. Most are unarmoured.

Wear your flame Drake, pearldrake and Dragoncrest talismans, drink a physic with opaline hardtear in.

Get close to them.

If they lift a leg, they're doing a stomp. You can jump the stomp's fire wave. Raptor of the mists makes this mindless if you want

If they do a jump, gtfo. If you're far enough away you can roll it, but it's timing is arse.

The only other close attacks are punch or grab, both are just roll them

If you're too far away, they spam fireballs. Use torrent to out run them.

Pest Threads will also do big damage.

Eventually after enough damage, they stagger and fall over, save you go to their face and visceral attack for big damage.

If they're the armoured version, then the only way to kill them is to get above them somehow, and throw furnace/fire pots (the hefty version) into their basket

||I went for a full tank build, heaviest shield, bleed swordspear (any poking stick should work), and used the two npc summons + mimic tear to help chunk him down; bleed and poison will do their job, its all about never letting that shield down ever and healing during the brief respites||

Less laggy than the area immediately outside of it (thank god), the basic mobs do a ton of damage but they also die in like two hits so that’s alright by me (says the person whose build includes ranged options)
Gonna have to finish it up tomorrow though, need to eep early sadplush
