#Monster Hunter

it wasnt everything just a few attacks felt a bit too much like like the ls counter could be really silly if there was too many little monsters around the hit too
Oh, yeah, you'd hit a few and you'd be stuck a full second and a half sometimes
that... explains a lot about why all the trailers felt meh
Deviljho you're a bit late
game please no more gems I just want the spike+
The Desire sensor hungers
Okay that makes up for it
Why does it take 12 of these things to get the royal burst
How else do you make it properly spikey!?
You know what I hope for most in Wilds
I hope I get to High Rank and just suddenly hear his theme out of the blue one day

Monster Hunter World OST: Bazelgeuse Theme 飛来せし気高き非道 ~ バゼルギウス [HQ | 4K] https://itunes.apple.com/jp/album/1336356191?app=itunes
Nooo!
Please
Have mercy
I’d rather fight black veil
Rise Bazelgeuse was sad (just wasn't very aggressive) I hope invaders are annoying again
There's good potential for it given how the maps are
rise is very arcadey
monstesr exist to be ffought by the player and nothing else
monsters in world act like they have their own stuff to do
PRetty much
I actually hope they tone down the spiritbugs in Wilds a bit
or let us tone em down\
just so we can enjoy the world more
(I found them v. intrusive in the beta)
i didnt see any in wilds
The tracking bugs pointing out every single interactable object felt kind of excessive
oh the scout flies
I don't know why the game thinks folks won't know, given they have unique models, map icons, highlight when you aim the slinger..
exploding green clouds constantly as you move is pointless and looks weird
if not, toning down particle effects seems extreemly modable
would love to not have that be the solution to things as I'm playing on console
true.... is the beta feedback form still up? that's worth throwing on there. they had a pretty ridiculous amount of customization even in the beta, and toning down UI elements seems very in line with some of that
You can at least turn off the horrid on-screen log of items they're highlighting
I mean... I frequently don't 😅
If anything my problem is that I see an item pop up in the scoutfly log and then have to spend thirty seconds figuring out where the hell it actually is
It's more distracting than anything! And in that time fifty more things ran through the log idek. It definitely needs at least a filter
Rise bazel had some neat additions to its moveset but broadly world barely was much better
Bazel is a personal fave
...I'm going to get back into World, I think.
not going to start a new character, though, I don't think?
...I got confused, forgot what I needed to farm (I think, judging by my playstyle, I'm going to want to get Kirin armor, but I don't really want to farm Kirin right now), and closed out...
I do not recall enjoying hunting Kirin but I think I'll have to do it a ton of times. The alternatives are deviljho, double tempered bezelgeuse, or the crossover content stuff.
i think vaal hazak is the easiest elder dragon
I do remember that being the case yeah
Lmao I had exactly the same reaction when I hunted it with swaxe the other day
I always pack nullberries and they basically trivialized the fight
Val do be p squishy
TBF Vaal has a lot of zones that get squishier when you break them which helps.
uugh. I'm gonna have to farm Kirin I think...
It's not too bad
Yeahhhh it's just not one of my favorites. I'm also gonna have to farm Teostra I think (I... don't think I need to farm Lunastra yet?) and I want to get kirin armor before I start farming non-Elders because it gives bonus capture rewards and I usually capture.
I should hop back into World and help people out with shit they don't like
Grace them with my magnanimous hunting horn presence
well I don't want to just be hard carried with master rank gear, is the thing.
That said I'm very close to the teostra dual blades which are one of the only weapons in all of World with multiple elements, and that's neat.
Iirc (I haven't actually fought Kirin since coming back for Iceborne), it crumples hard if you can bonk it's stupid head with blunt damage. Hammer or horn make it cry.
Well, I'm maining dual blades, but I think there are some that might do that?
also I want different armor because I want to use legiana gear for greed but it's lightning weak.
...I keep wanting to get Iceborne sometime, but I don't play World enough for it to make sense. It's just awkward having the game without the DLC.
honestly I shouldn't be spending money on games period, but especially not on DLC for a game I haven't completely beaten the base game for
you do get the clutch claw and new moves even before you beat the base game
yeah, but the base game was designed without those in mind. Except for the retroactive addition of claggers but never mind that.
I remember having this whole relative order of operations in my head of which order to fight stuff in... ...I figured out a good reason to start a new character, besides clearing up this ambiguity: I can do the arena and optional quests before I'm way overpowered for them, since I accidentally skipped a bunch.
Don’t arena quests use fixed loadouts ?
they do
The special arena ones, on the questboard. Not the ones in the multiplayer hub.
Ah, got it
I went back and did a couple of LR special arena quests with HR gear
...they did not take long
Is wild on steam or something? I've seen videos about it and i' ready to be guy with the fattest shield imaginable
there was an open beta this past week/weekend for pc and all current gen consoles
ps5 got a few days early access
But yes it is releasing on Steam
Ah I see so it's a ps5 thing
it's been widely demo'd at game shows in the past few months
and yeah there was a public steam beta recently
there was a PC beta too, at mostly the same time
Just to ramble a bit, the wound system is Wilds is such an improvement over the clutch claw
i kinda wish the sns kept the cluchclaw
Like an interesting sub mechanic that doesn't devolve into an annoying minigame about clutch spam +wounding the right spot.
Now you get wounds by playing actual Monhun
i am dispointed how lacking db feels like when compared to other weapons
DB has always been kinda shallow
Which it's good to have weapons that are pretty simple gameplans
dual blades is fun but I am... a simple person in some ways. My other main was insect glaive.
i feel like sns is a good example of you cna have simple and depth
i think maybe they s hould have let it keep its jump from rise in some way
Christ
Tried to help someone with a barioth
Someone else got hit with those stupid fuckass tremors and got stuck in the "Ouuuuuuuuuuuuh I fell :[[[[[[[[[" animation that lasts for too goddamn long, got onetapped by the jump and used the last cart
I fucking hate that stupid mechanic
Ground shakes and suddenly you're crawling around for the next ten seconds like someone hamstrung you
They kind of did. It just got moved to its focus attack
oh i only tried stuff on the dummy bareel and didnt see any jump
…wait, I only have like three quests until I get to master rank
Why the hell am I grinding for high rank vaal hazak armor it’s gonna be outdated after like three iceborne quests
Drip
Oh right I need to get the gem for the guard 3 charm
i never really used that much guard
Y'all know any armors that look good with the Shara LBG?
Kushala daora is dead 😌
Xeno time!
I like nergigante and the thingy from ice borne (the last one)
my favorite is honestly probably Legiana with Odogaron in a close second, at least in terms of their fights especially (but I also like their gear and their aesthetics... but the fun of the fights might be skewing that assessment).
If you get iceborne there’s a cooler legiana in there, really liked that one
yes, I understand most thigns there were cooler. That's sort of the thesis of an ice zone. 😛 but seriously I'm glad the variant legiana is good.
And it's dead! 😌
Should I wait for wild or should I get a MH game when my pay comes around?
@candid bone really depends on what you're looking for.
If you want the community experience, and have a grunty computer: wait for Wilds.
If you're wanting to dig into an existing game with a huge backlog of content, then both World & Rise will treat you well
i wonder if recommending GenU would be making first impressions too inconvenient for kukri...
assuming kukri can even get ahold of a switch/a means to play switch games
Kukri?
Me
🫵
You
Had a funny moment just now
Was fighting tempered teostra and I got stunned waaaaaaaaaaaay outside of its nova range
So I think "Oh I'll be fine"
Host gets caught and carts
"...she won't be though"
Yeah, dont
I dont think that's a good call at all.
@candid bone https://isthereanydeal.com/game/monster-hunter-world-iceborne-master-edition/info/ has Iceborne + MH for 15 bucks usd.
not sure how many hours i can sink into the game tbj
Look a,t 15 bucks i think you'll get a lot out of it
The structure works poretty well for [pick up and play segments if you're not planning to do it long term
Like just... pop the game open
do a hunt
Hunts take about 15-20 minutes usally
and can be faster
you can work through teh story slowly etc
dont stress about optimizng your build or shit
that's endgame stuff and you can just have fun
i got a decent amount of value out of World
is this telling me its on sale on steam right now?
Yeah, only real grinding mid story should be either because you like an armor piece or a weapon. Or you're insane like me and decide to make every available Longsword just to have every available Longsword.
It's through a site called "Fanatical", but appears to be the Steam version
There's a list of stores beneath the product, you click on those to get to them
At faniactal
Fantatical*
who are reliable.
Is lance a good weapon? i know its tanky but thats about it
There are no bad weapons, only weapons you don't know how to use effectively
it's hard for someone to pick a weapon for you because it's basically "what kind of gameplay do I enjoy"
lance is about constantly doing a reliable but middling amount of damage, being unkillable, and counters
also having a huge shield and weapon which are both cool
Yeah, "Good wepaon" is entirely subjective
Also playing Initial D music when you do the running move
true, i should probably play a bunch of weapons and see what sticks
sns is one of my favorites
also charge blade which a new player should def not pick as their first
And can tackle where you get hyper armor
while dual blades is "I woke up[, and i picked ANGER."
If you plan on trying before you buy I recommend picking one Hunt as your control. Like Great Jagras or Anjanath, something simple you can use as a benchmark.
"and i channel that anger into becoming a living blender"
Duals do have some compleixty in that they're very reliant on elemental damage
but that's more of a mid-late game thing
(as a rule of thumb, the faster your weapon attacks or the more multi hits it has, the more it cares about elemental)
while greatsword generally Does Not Give A Shit.
and just goes NUMBY. BIG.
CRUSH
one neat thing about monster hunter is that usually the controls & moves of the weapons are not that different at the end of the game compared to the start, you just have more extras
actually, this is probably more helpful @candid bone
Greatsword: Big Hits. About charging your attacks
Longsword: Be the weeb. Giant katana, counter attacks
Sword and Shield: Fast and mobile, can use items while it's got it's shield drawn.
Dual Blades: You are a living blender. A very, very angry living blender.
Insect Glavie: You have a giant staff to smack people with, and a bug buddy on your arm you throw at people.
Lance: Tanky and surprisingly mobile. Also you have a giant shield.
Gunlance: Giant shield, giant lance, the lance is also an explosive launcher. A point blank expl soive launcher
Hammer: Charge attacks, but you're mobile and can knock monsters out by hitting them in the head, so you can... keep hitting them in the head
Hunting Horn: PLay sweet music by bonking monsters on the head.
Light bow gun: SHoot monsters while running around
Heavy Bowgun: SHoot monsters with a machine gun
Bow: You havea bow. A really, really really BIG bow.
Charge Blade: YOu have a sword and shield! Which combines into a GIANT AXE! that STICKS BOMBS TO PEOPLE. And has Guard Points where you auto-block dduring specific transfomrations! It's a surpsingly simple yet complicated weapon! and you can turn your axe into a buzzsaw!
Switch Axe: You have a giant axe! That turns into a giant sword! You can stab teh sword into monsters, ride on them and then set off MASSIVE EXPLOSIONS
Every weapon has a gimmick too - like Greatsword has it's charging, hammer also has charging, Dual Blades has a stance system of sorts, SnS can use items while having it's weapon drawn (Which sounds whatever, but lets it do some incredibly what the fuck bbq shennagins in the hands of a good playter). Charge Blade has a whole ammo system and laoidng ammo into the weapon to empower etc
there's a LOT of depth to explore
I started with cb
Don’t do the same thing
If you want a weapon you learn how to use fast
Did anyone tried Insect Glaive in the wilds test? I know I'm asking a bit late.
I did not but apparently it's got quite different priorities than in the last couple of installments
I didn't really felt it, partially because controls just felt awkward? Had to claw a bit.
Also why do they change button to send out your kinsect in every game?
...tried doing Day of Ruin
For some reason the ENTIRE team elected to fight the thing in the tiniest possible space
Thinking about playing world again and doing some switch axe stuff
Dewit
"Oh, if I want to try bow I should start doing My Name is Laviosoth occasionally so eventually I can get a Mighty Bow jewel"
first hunt:

I miss wilds already
Alright who just deleted the Dual Blades clip while I was in the middle of watching it?
Jeezus
Leshen dead, with the pukei pukei still alive 😌
I was expecting keeping it alive to be harder
Now you get the best ending
oh yeah I'm gonna have to do that too...
It is a large monster
...tbh
I wish that a rathalos would've came to help instead
Would've been cooler and more fitting since it's THE MonHun flagship
Yeah but that kind of brand recognition costs the big bucks and they already had to get Gerald for the project /jk
People won't go "aww poor birdy" with Rathalos, in part because it's less like a bird.
The issue with pukei is how weirdly frail it is, but if your friend you're trying to keep alive refuses to get the FUCK down, it's a lot harder to kill em
Canonically Pukei-Pukei is also a brood parasite and all-around asshole actually, so... yeah, why did they pick it? Because it's new?
Also small enough to reasonably get trapped by the roots
True.
I mean yeah, but for some reason it seems to die for everyone else
i think it living there and not being very big were basically the two crucial factors
You know what would have been awesome though? You set free a Rathian, and then she brings a Rathalos with her to the final confrontation.
and it's more birdlike than the next best option, tobi-kadachi.
Tbh
The absolute coolest shit would've been Nergigante
"WHO THE FUCK IS UP IN MY SHIT DISTURBING THE GODDAMN ECOSYSTEM, I'LL KICK YOUR FUCKING ASS-"
Maybe, but Nergi is rarely seen outside of the Elder's Recess (and this was before Iceborne)
True
Tbh a little Nergigante show-up in the crossover monsters' fights would've been SO fucking hype
nergi would be a bad teammate he'd take up the entire camera and constantly stagger you out of animations
also it means making a power level declaration, in a way that the "lower level" Pukei-Pukei wouldn't.
and then carve before you...
Like the bit in the Allmother Narwa fight where Magnamalo, Kushala, Teostra, and fucking Malzeno can show up to throw hands
Does that... matter?
Never heard of anyone complaining about someone carving before them
velkhana kicked my ass
not sure how I feel about some of the hitboxes on its normal attacks, much less the ones where it fills the entire arena with ice
(I think most of my problems were from bad dodges, tbf)
well i just suspect that nergigante isnt going to leave much behind
Lmao true
Best character
I forgot how much of a pain setting up with gunlance is, you gotta set up a WSB and tenderize a part twice
smacking (three times) before weapon attack also tenderizes with one claw (when using "light" weapons), though it may enrage faster along the way.
I mean, iceborne meta is to wallslam and always have things enranged anyway
Abuise that aigator.
agitator* even
I think it's three claw attacks
it is yeah
Meowscular Chef and Grammeoster Chef are both unmatched characters
I hope there’ll be a forest in monster hunter wilds
Isn't there already with the Rainforest area?
Or like, do you want a temperate forest?
ohh right yeah
its weird that MH World doesn't have a temperate locale, now that I think about it 🤔
in terms of locales, we have
- Tropical
- Arid/Mire/Desert
- Highland/Landborne Coral
- Decay
- Volcanic
- Boreal/Arctic
- All of the Above
- Castle
I would argue we've had some temperate forests?
Misty in yukumo felt fairly temperate to me
What game was that one in
Monhun 3 I think
with Zinogre
no wait monhun 3 has lagiacrus
while Monhun Portable 3rd has Zinny
goddddd he's so cool
P3rd, 3U, 4U & the starter map in Rise has similarities to it
I’ll get world just to be able to get Stygian zinogre
Pretty
Not a fan or rise tbh
But how are the others
The older ones I mean?
They're good, but it'd be a real shock to the system of you've only played world onwards
World removed a ton of cruft and cleaned up a bunch of stuff
I really liked world
Rise felt like it was missing a soul kinda imo at least
Monsters just kinda were
They didn’t behave like animals
Different teams
Rises team focuses more on the boss fights and mechanics, it's much more arcadey got both good and ill
Ah
something something monster fighter
I hope Agnakantor makes a come back in wilds
Chuck someone who started with worlds into gen ultimate
I hope we get proper new deviants and no apexes
I'm still thinking about how I haven't seen a single returning monster for wilds
There are a couple for sure
Rathalos do be a surefire and was soft trailer confirmed
The Lagi hope is big
And we seen kongalala so we already got a return

Seriously, did everyone forget Rathalos flying across the sky at the time stamp?
Actually yeah, I did forget
they're just not leading with returning monsters because the new ones are better for marketing
but its very unlikely that you won't eventually find Diablos in the dusty starting area
I have to wonder if they're gonna pull movesets from rise or world
Or maybe both
Well, anything returning is getting some changes to account for focus mode, that's for sure
I fully don't remember their movesets in Rise. how different were they from World?
Depends on the monster
Most were pretty similar, Rathalos did get a couple changes though (using a lot more moves in the air, and having a couple extra moves to use while in flight)
i think some of the rise moveset changes were bad
mainly monsters that deicded that using one attack over and over was fun
like barroth and raithan
i have 600 hours in world
trying to think if there
i think raithan in a single hunt used the tailwhip more in 1 hunt then all of world
's any Rise monster I would like to see return more than the ice bear
goss harag
Malzeno is good but there's going to be plenty of Elder Dragons so thats not a big priority for me
he's funny
that's the one yeah
Goss was definitely a highlight for Rise
Probably my favourite of the new monsters?
Well
No
Definite favourite
smashing his sword hands was fun
they'd have to adapt his moveset to put him in wilds because of the AoEs
yeah its very satisfying
I'm beginning to remember why everyone brought 2 max potions and the materials to make 5 more with them in master rank
I bring materials for all sorts of potions with me
I should really add ingredients to my loadouts.
Hate that there's so much shit for max potions in World
Need bitterbugs and blue shrooms for nutrients, which you need for mega nutrients that also need honey, which you need for max potions that also need mandragoras, and your inventory ends up being a good 1/4 materials just for healing items
i rarely used max potions
They're the only thing I use lmao
with recovery up mega potions are pretty cllose to max potions
I don't slot for speed eater and I don't want to sit around waiting for my character to finish sipping on his potion while a pissed-off apex predator megafauna barrels towards me with intent to punt my skull through my asshole
Unrelated, I am either doing something very wrong or early master rank quests take a lot longer than high rank quests did
tbh i don't bring materials for max potions
Early MR quests are rough
i don't really use them
i simply use mega potions
i still use potions even late if i just need a little bit of healing
or if im out of combat
I keep two max potions on hand as an emergency button
But mostly I lean on mega potions
I try to rely on mega potions, but master rank monsters are fast and aggressive enough (and I'm not good enough :P) that it's hard to make openings for them
I miss Rise's weapons tbh
Not even silkbinds, just
The variety of movesets
Like the alternative draw attack for longsword
Or the INFINITELY more fun greatsword moveset
I miss that moveset so fucking hard
wilds keeps the first set of draw attacks
The double-slash?
That's good at least, it's significantly more interesting than an overhead
the double and the counter
Ooooooooooooo that's good
The counter's fun as shit
I just wish we could keep Surge Slash
early MR quests are very much like early HR quests
in that they're supposed to be a lot longer than LR, and a pop quiz of "so you're good at the game now, right?"
except unlike early HR, early MR knows that you can have a real build
(and is supposed to be the hard mode DLC)
so it juices things right the fuck up and expects you to struggle
Also expects you to swap to MR gear/armor ASAP, I took a detour from the main quest to get basic MR gear because it's a big jump in stats
I suspect that's why I was struggling the last time I tried Iceborne
You NEED Beotodus shit the pictosecond you enter the Hoarfrost Reach
The polar mobility skill alone is an amazing QOL increase, defense aside
Early MR is basically a test, yeah.
and then you hit Barioth, and the game goes TEST OVER WE F IGHT FOR REAL NOW
Ku-kat is back too,m and we know Congala is back as well
I love banbaro because they can get SO big
I even acknowledged Congalala
How could I forget
I had one in the guiding lands that was full on like kulve taroth sized
one thing i liked about rise is how you saw diffrent sizes more often than in world
world you barely saw diffrences that were noticeable
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2033270541 The king watches the battle.
lol
and unsurprisingly, Barioth is exactly where I got walled 😅
I am looking forward to having another crack at Iceborne
Barioth, big tip
Trap hjim ealry
THEN BREAK HIS WINGS.
If his wigns are broken he looses a ton of mobility
and will Slide/fumble a lot when trying to do his pounces
I see your monster hunter screenshot and I raise you my monster hunter screenshot
also this picture I took of a banbaro just chillin
Like seriously, you're haivng trouble with Barioth? Shock trap, use some bombs or whatever to break his wings as early as posisble
and he becomes immensly more managable.
we got walled by nargacuca high rank in rise and i swaped to lance and stayed lance
penguin is right about this priority number one with barioth is to break his arms
Honestly I should play around more with using traps to immobilize monsters rather than just capture. It's not something I've done much at all
It's a very good trick.
But yeah
In general the best item in World is in fact the Far Caster
because you can restock everyting
he's absolutely cracked out so you have to shatter his kneecaps to make him calm down
so having a "Fuck it, i'm out!" button on hand is amazing
I respect this penguin but you're wrong
Tbh the main problem i had with Barioth was that I timed out the hunt
real gamers take one point of fortify so when they cart it's retroactively on purpose for the buffs
I was so close! Had it back in its nest and everything!
nah, it decreases rewards
The other thing you'rep robably doing wrong wrt Barioth then\
...so yeah, damage output problem
is you're chasing him when he jumps away in an arena
He looooves to bounce away and then he comes right back
oh yeah in general monsters that hop or run away always come back
so it's much better to be ready to counter attack
if you chase after him you just get owned
you don't need to chase anything like 90% of the time
Eh, Zenny is free* (*It is NOT FREE)
I like this one i got. Eat shit, Rajang.
Shocked kulu watching the aftermath of a turf war
What, Ancient Forest andi t's TREE: THE TREEING isnt your favourite? XD
I still love the Coral/Rot pairing
The rotten vale has excellent vibes, however... the fucking effluvia
IT's cuddly.
I love ancient forest it's #2
Cuddle the rot.
Ok Romina xP
Look man, i'm an undead aquatic avian, i ahve a reputation to protect.
Coral Highlands is probably my favourite conceptually, but I just didn't like navigating it sometimes (see: monsters going up and down through coral over and over)
I love the Rot zone so much. I have a weird soft spot for 'poison swamp' zones
Rotten vale I enjoyed a fair bit though, get flame pods and start blasting away the stink
Also Odogaron is my favorite fight ever. Feels like dancing fighting O-doggo
I enjoy Odo's psycopathic I CAN FIGHT IT ALL I WILL FIGHT IT ALL
wioth ocasioanl bouts of OH NO I HAVE MADE A MISTAKE... WIAT I CAN SOLVE THIS WITH MORE FIGHTING
Odo, it's fucking Val Hazaak. Just... just stop.
The only thing I dislike about the rotten vale is that after a certain point you just never go to the top half of it
Yeah I can't remember the last time I went up there honestly
Mm, yeah. Not often that I'm fighting tar-tire boi
Spent a lot of time in the depths trying to get an Odo gem for my master's charm
That's kidna na issue with a lot of the maps, the mosnters have surpsignly c urtailed routes through em
Honestly love Rado and Ura
Rado is just great, I love fighting it
My punk sure has been cyber'd
Gonna pretend they're some ancient-ass augments from the precursor civilization
What do they do? Iunno.
they're why you have a HUD, clearly
LMFAO
I FUCKING
I JOINED A BEHEMOTH FIGHT
AND WE ALL CLUSTERED UP BEHIND A METEOR
AND THE FUCKING THING KNOCKED US OUT HAHAHAHAHAHA
Holy SHIT that was fucking hilarious
I'm not even mad
That was so fucking funny
...Handler I'm in master rank
She isn't even here, it's the part of iceborne where you get the serious handler
The Handler's voice echoes...
"Partner! There's a time and place for everything!"
Y'all think this looks decently like a Raiden-style cyberjaw, or does it just look stupid
Steam has blessed me this day.
Rise + Sunbreak plus Deluxe bundles are on sale and it will last long enough for my salary. Huzzaaaaahhhh
Gonna be real, it's uhh
It's just okay
Yeah :/
It's very much
Not Great
Was only 80 cents so I can't really say I regret it
I'm just kinda disappointed
Wish it had this paint, this is fucking EXCELLENT facepaint
Watch them being back Monoblos instead
I fucking wish
That would be hype as shit
They're already bringing back Congalala and Yian Kut Ku, may as well toss in Monoblos and REALLY get people hyped
I do realize they might bring back neither on launch though, given we know the apex of the desert zone is Rey Dau
Unless they plan on having two top monsters, effectively, or bumping the Blos down a tier
I could see them bringing back Monoblos as an early update/FLC monster like Rajang or Deviljho for the nostalgia hype
The catch with Mono is he's always been Offline only.
Like it has been a Thing.
So i dunno if they break that given this game is back to the no-hard-split between Online and offline
If they really want to chase hype, they'll introduce triablos
That sounds like what happens when you commit crimes against nature and god by stitching a Monoblos and a Diablos together
Diablos with a monoblos for a tail
we already got a triablos :^).... or is it quadrolos
(just in case gen ultimate spoiler)
CatDog style?
catdog style
tails fused or upper bodies fused
wouldn't upper bodies fused just be two butts that kick your ass?
I assume they mean the upper bodies are fused together at about the waist
So that the heads are sticking out of either end
Hmm... do I do a bunch of optional quests that I should probably get around to finishing or do I do main quest stuff so I can finally get back the normal Handler 🤔
Iirc you have exactly one (?) assigned quest before you get her back
Or is that acidic glav + odo? Still, fast
Okay apparently it is barioth time
yeah like catdog
like so
Somehow that's even worse
Every time I look at any iteration it's somehow more horrifying in new and terrible ways
The joke is it's always scary
should i bother with Beyond the Blasting Scales or should i just go into Iceborne
Try it, if it sucks hit da bricks
You do need to do a few high leveled tempered quests to get the rocksteady mantle if you want that
I forgot how much barioth countered slow weapons
Which is coincidentally all I've been using so far
(I should start using switch axe again)
hmm... Monster hunter monsters as Pokemon
Diablos is a ground/flying type with Sand Rush as an ability, with a focus on health and attack, low speed thats too high to benefit from Trick Room, and a bunch of horn related attacks. Its shiny is Black Diablos and it has a paradox or mega ||That's basically Bloodbath, changing it to Ground/Dark in the Paradox and being called Immense Anger.||
Rathian/Rathalos is like a Wurmple type thing, where its 2nd and 3rd evos determine its form from a Rath chick. Rathian is a Ground/Poison type while Rathalos is a Flying/Fire type. Dunno what abilities or stats they have, but their shinies are the Pink and Azure respectively, their Megas are the metallics, and their paradoxes are the Deviants
And uhhhh fuck it. Yian Garuga is a Dark/Flying type with Guts.
Alatreon, meanwhile, would be ???/Dragon, and would change his ??? type to be whatever the weather/terrain is
so it gets STAB on overheat in the Sun and STAB on Hydro Pump in the rain
Kulu Yaku is a normal/rock type with some kind of item gimmick
Gore Magala is Poison/Dragon with an exceptionally complicated evolution mechanic
I was thinking Gore would be Poison/Dark, but Shagaru would be Poison/Dragon
Ohh, that's good
I was thinking Nergi would be Fighting/Dragon
Speaking of which, the other "elemental" dragons could be fun if they weren't Element/Dragon
like
Teostra would be Fire/Dark, Kushala would be Steel/Flying, and Vaal Hazak could be Poison/Ghost
I forgot that velkhana can sometimes just show up before you're supposed to fight her
Nay, Alatreon changes type by using moves of certain types. Ice into Ice, Fire into Fire.
That's just the Protean ability
🤔 maybe, and it would fit its lore better to be a loner who does better in singles...
Fatalis is a Fire/Dragon with ludicrous stats and a die hard ability
Legiana is classic flying/ice
Ursaluna moment
Slacking after using Skill Swap in a double battle style
Maybe give it defeatist to represent how quickly it gets exhausted
I think tigress is either fighting ornfighting/dark
Nergigante is Dragon/Fighting and has one of those abilities that cancels other abilities like Mold Breaker
Do Not Chase Him
Oh?
So Bairoth's whole deal is he likes to bounce off
but he'll come right back to you
so if he bounces away and you run after him
then you're out of postion for his counter attack
and the cycle contoiuiuunes
better way to thump barioth is a: early in the fight, use a pitfall or a shocktrap (I think he's extra fvuln to pits, maybe?>) and break his wings
then just let him pounce at you, he'll stumble because you broke his wings
and you punch his face in
I did all of Iceborne as a Greatsword main,m so ya know
i know breaking his arms makes him slower and trip
does anyone know if there is some sort of monster master list for what breaking parts does
I doubt there a big compiled one since some of them can vary between games
Or at least one does
Rathian tail cut in World/Iceborne stops her poisoning you, but that was a new change at the time
Also, like... ya know. Ask us to come hunt with you?
i can probably be convinced to boot up world
and then like, die embarsisngly
I never did beat Altaeron or Fatalis...
Actually, yeah. I'm a couple ranks ahead of you, but I'm still making my way through Iceborne for the first time. Shout out if you want someone to doot encouragingly at you
Eh, I prefer playing the game solo when I can
Thanks for the offers though!
(I also only carted to barioth like once so 🤷♀️)
I think tsilcutd alsonscrew with barioths schmoovement
Tail cuts also screw with movmeent, is what you're saying... i think???
no
Got me preorder for Wilds in
Ended up just going for the regular edition, I'll get whatever cosmetic pack has the eyepatch later
Since realistically that's all I'd really use from it
What'd you get?
xbox usb wired, the playstation ones are too expensive for some fucking reason and not one of them comes in black or purple damn it.
I've got one of the fancy xbox ones. thje elite series? tehy're very nice
I just got a regular black one, I don't really like getting the "Ultra uber colorful leet design" for a controller. That makes me not want to use it and just preserve it. XD

Oh yeah definitely same. Also added some QoL mods to my MHW.
Also added a teeeeny tiny bit of a rework for gunlance. (Ahem, gunlance main.)
Plus I already beat the game vanilla as hell

I got a new save while I wait for my salary so I can grab the Rise + Sunbreak Deluxe combo that just got on sale
He looks like a PS1 crocodile 😭
Polyji'va
Anyways, someone modded MH world to be all angular

LMAO
Handler, this is my second attempt of this quest and I still carted twice
Also god greatsword is fun even if I suck with it
Many such cases!
I hate barioth so fucking much
Again, I prefer playing solo
Sorry, I hadn't seen your preference
Sorry, I've just been asked that in this thread a lot
No worries
It's just a very frustrating fight for me, it's too aggressive for me to do consistent damage with basically every weapon I have other than lance
Like, I can barely use greatsword or switchaxe against it without getting hit and you basically can't use the clutch claw at all unless it's in a clagger
(Which is a big issue with switch axe especially)
Mmhmm
It's a horrible shitbeast and I advocate for using a shield HBG against it
Try to do anything and it immediately just goes like
It gets a lot more managable when it's arms are broken (which admittedly isn't saying much), but actually breaking them is an ordeal
Why I always bring my spread 3 shield 3 HBG to fight em
Fuck you, I'm breaking your shins whether you like it or not
I find it easiest to clutch claw on with rocksteady and tenderize them, THEN beat the fuck out of the wings until they break
...is it just me, or is Rise's Velkhana just, like
Significantly less fun than World's
I was able to dance with my lady Velkhana every time in Iceborne. How bad could she be in Rise?
Famous Last Words.
Your Seikret isn't just for travel, though...
Animation by PB472, I helped with materials and sounds!
#Seikret #MHWilds #MonsterHunter
I hope we get some slice of life stuff like this in-game
...god
Y'know what I absolutely yearn for
The fucking "setting up camp" scene from the MonHun 4 Ultimate trailer
Check out the opening cinematic for the four-player action-adventure game.
Just that down-to-earth, quiet, cheerful atmosphere
Where everyone has that "Big day tomorrow!" energy
Would it be helpful to see me stream a fight against Barioth to show off some of what you can do with Greatsword vs a jerk like that?
Ah. The ice cat.
I do vastly prefer fighting frostfang barioth over normal barioth
Man being in full safi armor just gives the rush
Barioth is definitely where I started getting really frustrated with the claw. When every monster is constantly attacking, and mostly using attacks that turn their whole body into a hitbox, it just feels like I'm getting punished constantly for trying to engage with the mechanic
And spending time during a down to apply a wound feels bad when I could be, y'know, attacking
Mantles are a big part of the stratergy
i, perosnally, dont really like this, butr you really should have rocksteady and temporal for master rank
and they do a LOT to help sort out the diff with cltuich claw
(Fwiw, i think Clutch Claw 's wounds/wallbangs were a bad mechanic overall, becuase they over focused things)
crushed the avalibel play space in bad ways
Yeah...I keep thinking I should go back and clean up those HR quests, it's just less fun than actual progress
Mm, if yo uahve master rank gear they should be pretty simple
and i can come help if you want, i';m in safi/dios era master rank gear
(I'm starting to run up against a wall, so I think I might have to. Velkhana and Seething Bazelgeuse almost went to time, so I know I'm just not hitting them often enough...)
I appreciate that! I'll shout out if I'm getting too frustrated
(There's kind of a paradox here where I'm not playing well, but I feel like I won't learn if someone who knows what they're doing just staggers them to death)
Hey
fwiw
I am SUPER RUSTY
so it'll be a 50/50 of i do an amazing badass feat
and totally eat shit
What weapon you gaming with?
Oh, shit, that actually reminds me since ya'll probably dont know this
but @bleak halo and @stuck needle - Powertalon and Powercharm stack, same with Armortalon and Armorcharm
you should be giving up 4 inventory slos to have those, because they're raw boosts andthey're a relaly, really big deal
Yup yup, I've been playing with way too little inventory space since World first came out on PC. Good tip, though
I kept bracing for the game to throw a third power/armor item at me in master rank
...
I cant rember how to get to barioth's sleeping place in Hoarfrost reach
Oh right, that's how
annnd kileld barioth with a tackle
Hmm. My musckle memory is still pretty rusty
but i'm getting there
@bleak halo Re: greatsword, the way to solve it's mobiltiy isuses is to abuse slinger bursts.
You can go any charge attack -> Tackle -> Jumping Wide Slash -> SLinger Burst
this gives you a ton of mobility, it's surpsingly safe, it's a brutal coutner attack, and it lets you re-aim on the fly
and slinger burst ocmbos straight into TCS.
You can dumpster monsters shockingly fast using that combo to move around
I feel like I beat Iceborne without engaging with the claw mechanics all that much
I've been trying to, but they don't feel all that deep. It's really just can you feasibly wallbang? -> do that, otherwise wound your target when possible, otherwise eat shit because you misjudged an opening
They just never felt.. fun, the occasional wall when they're woozy but it felt like too much to try to add for a dlc, too centralizing.. i'unno. World is great! But got some oddness
Wirebug meshed with everything, Clutch Claw was sort of... "???"
Focus Mode feels more.. clean. Every weapon has a unique little option instead of Big Weird Hand.. though I'm a little foggier on the Wound system
Yeah, they kinda shoved the Clutch Claw mechanic to the point it feels like you NEED to use it in order to do meaningful damage
And then any non-Iceborne beast absolutely melts under it
It's why I'm patiently also waiting for the ICE Mod team to update their ICE so that I can get a nice balanced MHW experience.
I do really like the aesthetic of Big Weird Hand, but it'd be better if it was...I dunno, SnS's gimmick exclusively
Clagger is such a big breaker of the hunt flow
Everyone knows volatile monsters love standing still and breathing real hard 2-4 times a fight
I think it's rougher for weapons that already have mechanics to manage on top of claw/tenderizing too.
And ranged weapons too
I don't mind the Clutch Claw tenderize and the Iceborne Skills that come along with it. But what is a huge downside is the Clagger (Clutch Claw Stagger)
It just absolutely fucks with the flow of a fight
The constancy of it just has it become a chore instead of a reward
Very 'video game stagger state' instead of brutal monster battle
Yeah. Again, which is why I am also patiently waiting for the ICE Mod to get patched for the current version. All the rebalancing they did was such a godsend.
God, yeah. Love to clagger a monster a quarter mile away from me while I'm running pierce hbg
"Lemme just sheathe my HBG and hustle up and oop- wasted"
Also Pierce felt much closer ranged in Wilds and idk about that
Also I find it slightly weird seeing people like gunlance now when I am 85% sure they are the same people who dislike gunlance on principle.
That's interesting. I thought they were making HBG an even longer range weapon and LBG even shorter
They were always wrong. Gunlance is cool as hell
Oh yeah that's weird. You would think LBG would be the short range but mobile version and the HBG as the long range hard hitter.
They call it slow yeah. But like... have you seen Greatsword???
Oh oops sorry for ping.
Pierce being closer in Wilds I guess is to make it more risky, and can probably swap to melee with less problems
Whenever I hear someone complain about how Gunlance is a slow and inefficient weapon. I just shake my head, it's obvious they tried it and got their shit rocked.
I can see it. I'm just confused because I could swear they said in an interview they were doing the opposite
On a sidenote. Question from me, how did Wilds' Focus Mode feel to use? Was it invasive or a smooth use?
I kept forgetting about it, tbh, but I did 2/3 of the hunts with bow so it was just on all the time. I'm going to need to turn on the toggle option, I think, I just don't like holding down triggers
I wish my setup was enough for the Open Beta. I tried to run it but I just kept getting a black screen when trying to make my damn character.
I will have to be satisfied for now by Rise + Sunbreak when I get my salary.
I could run it, but only on the lowest settings. I kept getting distracted by how my character looked like a chihuahua...
I can't speak to Sunbreak, but base Rise is a good time.
Hol up. Steam just tried to pull a fast one on me.
And god damn it my wallet is crying for mercy.
Dragon's Dogma Dark Arisen is on sale.
By god, I'm getting it.
The grittier monster hunter
Sounds promising. I've seen videos on how gunlance be doing in Rise. First thing in my mind was. Blast Dash.
I've heard the moves added in rise helped Gunlance a lot
Blast Dash and Air Shelling? Oof. Somebody stop me cause I'm about to knock flying monsters out of the sky like god smiting them.
see I think this only really came to be with Sunbreak
but I think that was kinda due to Rise being somewhat weirdly easy and didnt really need to actively use the wirebug which is a bit "huh" for the main mechanic
Ooh 👀
That would definitely be helpful yes!
i might also do something like that with hunting horn
Yeh, I’ve played world before I’ve just never used the greatsword
Maybe I should just stick to lance, that's the weapon I'm best at anyway
Greatsword is super fun!
I'm currently still dozzy and waking up, but I'll ping you again once I'm properly awake and online

🤔 I feel like I'm doing something wrong, or else the acidic glavenus horn is just too blunt to work without protective polish/master's touch. Echo notes just eat through too much sharpness and handicraft doesn't do enough to make up for the charm+armor slots it takes up.
(just the first horn for now because I don't like my odds against black veil right now 😅 )
i'd slot in some protective polish and maybe speed sharpening if you don't have access to MT
I could do speed sharpening, but this is the save that somehow lost almost all of my post-story progress. I have very few actual good decorations, despite occasionally zoning out with Flora Frostbite
damn that sucks
it was rough! I guess I could always cheat in some decorations, since the grind is stupid
speed sharpening isn't the biggest thing really, as long as you have PP that should be pretty good for you
Flora Frostbite?
It's a master rank event quest where you gather from frozen plants, it gives...3-4 decorations on average? If you equip botanist and geologist you can do it in like two minutes or less depending on which camps you have unlocked.
(mostly bad decorations, but it's still a quick way to get some level four decos or just fill out a limited bounty)
is this world or rise
im guessing world
theres a lavistlosh mission that gives a lot i remember
and the jagaras
greatest jagras is for low-end decos mostly
lavasioth one is good as a stopgap until you farm your way up to the zinogre one
is there an event for rise for more jewls?
It'd be charms in Rise, right? Since decos were craftable and charms were random?
im taking jewls where were used to make decorations
they are realllllllllllllllllllyyyyyyyyyyyy slow to get
its worse then random decorations
at least randoms you could chunk into a melding po to get something you want
i honestly just swap to something with lots of armor ignore
...god the Fatalis quest is stupid
"Here's 30 minutes and a single helper to beat God, good luck"
Bring Plunderrang, you can use it to slowly get gear pieces over time
Big warning
Apparently wilds story and roster got leaked
So care browsing the Internet
Betcha 10 bucks Youtube thumbnails and titles are about to be chock full of spoilers
Like that one asshole that spoiled a massive Kaiju Number 8 twist for me
@bleak halo I'm setting up currently, will ping you again with a link when i'm live
Is this on top of what got datamined out of the demo?
Checking around, it appears to be actual genuine links thanks to dataming the voice files form the demo

i can't belive rathlos is in the game
Does fire resist help with Fatalis
Fucking tired of getting hit once and half my fucking health bar immediately vanishing
it does
Excellent
Any reason you're trying ot solo?
Mandatory solo phase
...god this feels so poorly balanced
Just in the fucking "teehee half your HP bar in one hit" department, everything else would be fine if ONE hit didn't immediately delete half my fucking health
Sure doesn't help that the base dodge i-frame is Fuck and All and is barely better with Evade Up
9 frames is just
Who fucking thought that was a good idea
Sounds like you're getting tilted and should take a break.
Yeah, I should
Sorry for taking it out on y'all
I still don't like this fight but I shouldn't be getting pissy at y'all
Also, Evade is about 15 frames at 0 Evade up
and 25 at Evade up 5.
correction, 27*
and evasion mantle is something like 33 frames
Edit: From the helpful comments of u/Helel89 (referencing GaijinHunter) and u/leon004567 (referencing a Japanese player who did a test at 30fps), it seems the frames are:
Evade Window +0: .23 seconds
Evade Window +1: .26 seconds
Evade Window +2: .30 seconds
Evade Window +3: .33 seconds == Evasion +1 from older games
Evade Window +4: .36 seconds
Evade Window +5: .40 seconds == Evasion +2 from older games
And. Ere. We. GO
...that's significantly more than a DS3 light roll, how does it still feel like it isn't enough...?
https://www.twitch.tv/thezombiepenguin is the actual link
Hitboxes last longer in monster hunter compared to souls games
Mosnter hutner is very much about the roll through attacks
👀
I may or may not talk much tbh
On another note. Does Evade Distance Up affect insect mid-air dodge in World?
I know it made a significant difference in Rise
(Also it's 27 at 60 fps while dark souls dodge frames are usually measured at 30 fps)
That's cool @bleak halo
Is Agitator worth running against Fatalis?
...oh right, greatsword moves other than tackle, charge, side slap, and jumping wide slash exist
In MR Agitator is usually a solid pick, especially if you use Clutch Claw to force a wound
Also do you have Health Boost?
Okay just checking
Never leave home without it
Also good news, once you beat the mandatory solo with the Ace one time you can SOS Flare from the get go.
Aye
Which is what I'm having trouble with
I can't even articulate what the problem IS, beyond "his hitboxes are Fucking Weird and he deals bullshit amounts of damage"
Just something about his moveset is incredibly fucking difficult for me
BTW what weapon are you using?
Whatever I think can help
I tried longsword, I tried HBG, I tried gunlance, I tried greatsword
Every time it ends up being "teehee half your health is instantly gone" and it just snowballs
You'll probably have better luck over time focusing on one weapon since changing them up often means you're both learning Fatty's moves and learning how to counter them with that particular weapon's toolkit
Yeah, I'm just trying to find something that actually feels comfortable
What do you normally use?
A few things, but mostly CB and LS
Already tried both and got my skull punched through my asshole though, though I mostly attribute that to a skill issue
I did beat Fatty with LS but I'm an LS main so I just kept at it (and got counter timing down)
CB does have the Guard Point to combo directly into (S)AED which is good damage
@bleak halo i hope that was atleast a little helpful
Oh are you able to enter the first arena fight while wearing a Gillie mantle if the Ace is helping you?
If so then there is a way to get some quick damage in
It was! Thank you!
No worries. Will happily do more when i'm not very tired
but hopefully you can see the majority of my playstyle is going for TCS as much as possible, and using tackle/slinger burst/wide slash/jumping wide slash to repostion
or let me bull through attacks and counter
Also forgive the odd random noises when Otto decided to headbuttteh microphone
because he needed to rub his cheeks on it
I will note my armor has both safi's bonus and i have health augmetn on my weapon
so iget away with a lot of bullshit
Becausae i can literally land TCS and heal my entire bar
but hey
Got 15 cortexes
I'm gonna make the layered Fatalis armor and do something else a while
yooooo
...agh, dammit, now I wanna go farm 15 more cortexes for the other chestpiece
This one's way cooler, it's got cool wings and a cool eye
...it's funny that I got the layered armor before the real deal lmao
The real deal is the best set in the game too
Well, i might understnad the mechanics of escaton judgemnt etc for Alt
but oof, i ma not yet any good vs the fight
i'll get htere tho
Yeah, Alatreon's a toughy even without the Escaton bullshit
I just dont know the timings and openings properly yet
so ate shit a lot
I dont have health augment on my weapon foir him either, which hurts a lot too
POV you're getting bullied by a chicken
Collection of cool shots from starting fresh saves with a gang of new hunters
Gunlance is hella fun, I wish I'd known sooner
and getting better in Wilds!
somehow even more true after the story
You guys think Stygian zinogre will be back?
We can only hope
Looks really cool too
I like that I can have two different weapons in wild
So I can take my two favourites with me
Those being cb and swaxe
I think I'll run sword and shield and lbg
I've got a hundred or so hours as a kinsect main but once I finished the main story I branched out to lbg then sword and shield and they feel so fun and unique
Which I know is an insane thing to say about the most vanilla weapon in the game sword and shield
But it's so fun to being such a flexible class, that wide range+mushroom mancer build felt so fun and good
Ugh, i'm just getting rolled by Alateron. this sucks.
Will have to ocme back when i've had more sleep, i just keep fucking up my timing and eating hit after hit
which isnt good when he can two-three shot you even in near end game levle gear
(i'm in Safi/Raging gear, so very end game stuff, but not like, fatalis end game)
I don't think I made it that far, I burnt out in iceborne
This time for sure tho
Especially with how much my clique has just been rolling these early game fellas
I really need to figure out how I'm upgrading my PC for Wilds. I'd love to actually play through the story in co-op, and I figure my odds are better if I can get in at launch
That reminds me!
Am I missing something with coop in world? The hitting a cutscene every time they want to introduce a new monster keeping me and my party from just starting new story mission together is very annoying
I do hope Wilds runs better when it comes out
Though it did run great on my laptop (which has a great CPU but middling GPU)
I'd have to guess if you're gonna upgrade anything, it might just need to be the CPU
I'm just gonna hope and pray that I can run it
Is it RE engine?
It is, RE engine plays nice with my computer. I think I can make it happen
you're not missing something, it's a huge drag.
Bruutal
near as I can tell, they assumed everyone would want to do every question solo the first time
(they've implied multiplayer will be a smoother experience in Wilds, but I don't think we know any specifics as to how)
I believe them
I have faith
What a great time of year to have all of my free time consumed by elden ring seamless co-op and soon Wilds
God I hate how you HAVE to fight a lured monster in the area you lured it in in the Guiding Lands
Otherwise you get like
A PIXEL of progress for that area
Fucking rajang
I think they're pretty fun yeah
not the biggest fan of the zone managment to get certain materials but its fun
you know what, i think i might be okay at this game
also was lucky that there was a bounty out for a tempered monster hunt, so i got a gold print and swapped it for a Nerg gem that i used to make the max level (for HR) Nerg hammer
i like that hammer
Spiky hammer?
yeah, big face full of Nergigante spikes
Negi greatsword is my favourite to use for layeerd stuff becaue a: Giant axe, but b: When you charge, it deploys the spikes at level 3 charge, which gives you a handy visual tell on exaclty when to release the charge
They are, they're just vaguely frustrating at times
that's a significant part of why I wish I could run Wyvern Ignition 😅
Y'know what I mildly wish for
Silver rathalos was platinum rathalos instead
Seems more fitting somehow
It's like
The world's tiniest gripe
Big snake
Big snake is good, yes
Namielle. The sound, the colors, the music. So cool
~~Technically a neopteron, not an elder dragon 🤓 ~~
I haven't had the chance to fight it yet, but I get the feeling I would love Gogmazios. I love its design.
Dalamadur peak
Gog
Dal;amandur was a pretty shit fight, honestly.
Like giant world serpent is cool asthetics, but the fight itself was very eh
does charging GS too long make it weaker
yeah. it goes charge level 0 -> 1 -> 2 -> 3 -> 2
or, that's definitely true in world, not sure about the other games
Pretty sure it's true in the vast majority of other games also
You let go right after it flashes the third time
Accurate
I just cannto get anywhere iwht Altareon. I'm getting hit constnatly. It's not my build or anyhting i'm just not landing openings enough
ugh
😦
May have to swtich to a frostcraft build or something
Alatreon is just that difficult. Tough fight
Could try using Safi gear since that has a heal factor and is one of the best for elemental boosting
Comboed with a Kjarr weapon of course
Which is what I did
They do use safi gear iirc
I'm out of the loop on that
Yeah, I'm in Safi/Brach with the frostfang GS, which is the recommended
It's mostly an issue of just getting whacked in the face too much
sounds like my entire MonHun career
Hmm
This has me thinking
https://youtu.be/C3ZVp3wX3Cw?si=16bTCCiBR76h2saS
I get that you can probably just ignore the power gains and still just enjoy monster hunter wilds regardless, but its an interesting topic that I've seen sprout up on forums here and there

#monsterhunterwilds #monsterhunter
I did wonder about that. Hitting a wound with the SnS isn't quiiiite near the reward of others and I would have felt rude taking them from an IG or something
Dive into the world of Monster Hunter Outlanders in this announcement trailer for the upcoming open-world survival game set in the Monster Hunter universe. Monster Hunter Outlanders will be available on mobile via the Apple App Store and Google Play.
on one hand: more monhuns
on the other: timi is a tencent subsidiary and is EXPERIENCED at reaching for players' wallets
ok i guess it's more a case of tencent is experienced at reaching for players' wallets
Also open world survival, but mobile phone only.
Yawn
Insert "Do you guys not have phones???" Meme here.
real..
For me it's more i think phones are a bad platform for whati 'd want out of monster huunter in the first place, and "Open world survival" + "Mobile phone game" migfht as well scream "This will attempt to eat your money, your heart, and your soul and never give anyhting back"
and your phone battery
everyone leave home with a power bank tbf
or i guess everyone in their target demographic
Well, i had to summon people
but i got bloody alateron down so i cna actuall acess fatalis.
Good, but what about second Alatreon?
It was second altaeron, the weak one
i will come back and do real alateron once i've got actually good end game armor and things
I'd make a joke about that meaning the full Fatalis set, but really full Safi is best for Alatreon due to the elemental damage factor
It's the raw defence that matters as much as anything
and honestly i'm happy to like brute force things
a lot of my issues was just getitng smacked in the head a lot by things
but anyway
I need to go farm up the full Fatalis set
I know there's a way to get it before actually beating the scaly bastard
...be nice to fight something that doesn't chunk half my HP in a single fucking hit
plunder time
welp
