The Universe is a cold place, but we can make it a warm home.

Ploughshares Into Swords is an fan-made expansion for the Lancer TTRPG, focusing on a federation of community aid networks called Eden Rising.

It includes :

A new Manufacturer with 6 core bonuses

7 new Frames: The heat-controlling Banksia, the walking castle Birch, the teammate fighter Cedar, the bolstering and protective Cypress, the wreck manipulating Mangrove, the weather controlling Maple, and the drone and ally-tossing Redwood.

Several sub factions including:
The Farmers: A Solarpunk, grassroots and pioneer network
The Last Question: An open-source network of scientists focusing on ultra-long term sustainability.
echoHum: A network of anthropologists and lay-folk dedicated to preservation of indigenous cultures and practices.
The New Atlantis: Engineers, architects and builders dedicated to making home-grown and human-centric spaces, and tearing down oppressive built environments.

We've also included a host of random tables to generate communities or inspire something unique, including unique habitats, types of community leaders, community needs, produce, and cultural quirks.

In case anyone else is following, we'll also be releasing soonish a campaign for ll2-ll6 that includes Eden Rising. This book won't be needed to run it.

Oh that’s exciting! Looking forward to seeing the progress for that

Mechanics question: with the Eden Rising Birch, how does Grease Monkey II interact with the frame's Docking Bays trait? Do the conditions you take on using it count as self-inflicted, or no?

@cyan light?

I think we mainly dodge those new conditions being Self-inflicted because the Birch *gains those* conditions

#

I however it may be otherwise

I don't know the exact wording of this particular Trait, but you've got the Lich's Antilinear Time, which is self-inflicting them.

#

In general, "self-inflicted" is "anything you do to voluntarily take it."

#

i.e. you don't get to escape the consequences of your choices.

#

It's a little different, in that the Lich creates a brand new duration, and obviously you could specify that they don't count as self-inflicted if you want, but in general, something like that would probably be self-inflicted.

Fair. It seems more likely in that interpretation then that the Birch's Docks self-inflict them on itself much like antilinear time.

Might need to redo that as its strictly worse than antilinear time

So what happens when you use opcal or nukecav on that gun that deals only heat? Nothing?

basically, damage would default to Kinetic. That said, double check with #rules-questions

Hello! Me and a friend are currently reading through the Eden Rising's licenses, and having a blast with all the creative stuff in there intensifeyes
We got a question about the Cypress' weapon, Emulation Engine

#

Is the limited tag meant to limit the weapon's uses itself (like the Engineer talent's integrated weapon), or is it meant to be spent only when you use the copying reaction?

#

(i believe it's best if i ping you? @cyan light

I am summoned by the ping!
The intention was for it to work like the engineer. Limited shots, but coukd morph into anything. Maybe we need clearer wording. Appreciate the feedback.

I see, thanks for the reply!

hello @cyan light , i and my group was using this third party in our play, and the follow question appeared:
if a enemy that is being affected by the Digester Nexus effects is attacked and the attack misses, but the attacker has a weapon with reliable 2, the damage that the target would suffer would be 2 or 2 + The number of stacks of digester nexus?
