It never says “skirmish”, it just says “fire”. This seems weird that it can fire a superheavy faster than the ally it’s grappling, and would probably feel pretty bad firing most PC superheavys, as they usually have some cost like loading or heat

Just like any other "fire" effect, Superhheavies require a Barrage.

no, as a similar example RAW a Witch cannot use Pred Logic to fire a SHeavy as well, same wording. SHeavies require that you say that the thing is a Barrage or specifically that it can fire a SHeavy iirc

I believe it doesn't have to be the absence of "skirmish," that allows a superheavy to fire
it has to be the presence of "barrage" to allow it to fire

Except, yeah, things like Executioner or Moving Target specify.
