im looking for some UI feedback on a very simple website that lists deals on products from around the internet. would you want to browse here? why or why not? i accept the most brutally honest and detailed feedback!

I don't like the share being on the right, it is also missing the "symbol" for share. I feel the primary action that people want to do on a box (buy the thing) should be on the right.

Looks bland. The [decent] chip makes me laugh, very unusual term to put in there. I feel it's a bit too airy for a product density that doesn't make me sore scrolling down.

I would not shop here mostly because I do not trust aggregate sites very much, would probably browse your FAQ or how you approach doing it.

I think the historical graph is a bit odd? Maybe not long enough to get a good read on how cheap it is now vs historically

HMM these are great points... thank you i will totally switch the buy and share buttons and add the share symbol

#

i totally agree with you, it looks very bland and honestly im not sure how to make it unbland... any suggestions? im gonna browse more UI design tonight

for the historical graph, i was thinking i have text above it that states the recent price drop (-$10 in 1 week) and then the graph would be a 30 days history. thanks for mentioning that becuase no i know to definitely make that more clear when i actually code this up

I am not a UI expert unfortunately. I think it being pretty close to the material UI standard is part of the problem.

You might have a better time in reactiflux actually since this is a more backend focused discord.

Glad to help. I dabble in UI design from a game perspective so some of my opions are probably a bit odd.

hmm interesting, ive also gotten some feedback that theres an untrustworthy vibe to it, but that the price history charts make up for that a little bit

#

and you have also said that theres an apprehension of trust happening here

#

although i think trustworthiness will mostly come from well-researched content, i wonder if there are certain UI choices that i can do. like the price chart

I think being open about how you're sourcing the data and any sort of sponsership happening being important.

#

I think you might be running into the Craigslist connundrum. They tried to do an update where they updated the UI but "it's too nice", and caused user trust to fall and so they reverted to back to their very web1.0 style.

Shittier might be more trustworthy? Because it shows you're putting effort into the content rather than the presentation which feels more genuine.
