Sorry, those are ineligible for lacking pedestrian access. Maybe if you have a nearby overlook or pier it could be submitted, but that will keep getting rejected for not meeting criteria.

Log into Wayfarer and you can change the text. As long as it's easy to find on Google maps that photo should be good enough. Describe it differently than the title and give it a proper supporting text.

I dont understand why the bridge infront of my house would be not accepted when the bridge coming into the town has a gym on it and everything and the reason for not being accepted was pedestrian access and other even though the existing bridge gym has horrible pedestrian access as well can anyone help me

How do I get the rest of the Memorial benches accepted? I got two accepted but I had 3 that I put in that said it was rejected for criteria. They’re all within maybe 3 town blocks but have 2 S2 cells splitting them. I’m in a town of only 3 stops and 1 gym so looking for more stops. Any advice would help.

The criteria for what POI shows in each game is different, one such example is Ingress, where some of their "portals" don't show in PoGo and vice versa

Even if you cheesed the test, odds are most other reviewers didn't (or at least a majority)

So if try to pass a tree as a historic and cultural tree or something, it will probably get rejected

Also, don't forget the ones reviewing are local players, they will probably realize that something mundane isn't what the description makes it up to be

There are a couple of facts to take into account

Implying that your nomination got accepted and your stop was created in an L17 S2 cell with no other stops

You have to see how many gyms already exists within the L14 cell where said stop is supposedly going to be

Don't forget that there can only be 3 gyms max per L14 cell, so if that's the case then the chances are 0%

If there aren't 3 gyms in the L14 cell, there will need to exist X amount of PokeStops in order to create a gym

Gym are created when you have 2, 6 and 20 stops in a specific L14 cell
So for example, if the cell you want your stop to be in only has 8 stops (including yours) there'd still need to be 12 more in order to create the next gym

Now, implying that your stop was actually the 20th within the L14 cell, the stop that gets chosen to be the gym is the one with the most "interactions" (so likes and pictures)
And odds are, the currently existing stops will most likely have more of those than the one you just created

If all stops have the same level of interaction, then it's random

So long story short, the stop that turns into a gym is either randomly chosen or chosen because the community engaged a lot with it, so it's highly unlikely that the stop you create will turn into a gym

There's a whole bunch of BS as stops already, slight misnamings, "murals" that are actually just adverts etc

heck, there's a local chain supermarket that somehow got accepted as a stop

"Creative" stop nomination is the name of the game, also there's nothing stopping you from going to house owners or business owners to recommend to them putting paintings or murals on their outside walls. Everybody wins, new waystops added, people don't have to just look at a bleak wall.

And before you ask about the supermarket, several people have reported it and it hasn't gone away

"I just want a home stop" is an awful reason, but "I want to improve my home surroundings so there's an eligible stop" is completely fine and recommended

During the last few weeks I had a few nominations get automatically rejected by the AI. (Aka "our team found"-email without any rejection reason on Wayfarer)
Unfortunately, when I resubmit said wayspots, they immediately get rejected by the AI again. How could I manage to get them into the actual voting? Resubmit them with slightly different photos until I find one the AI likes? I'm running low on nominations anyways so I'd rather submit a few other spots instead of burning through submission for a single one. I also don't have my appeal left for this month as I had to use it to get a wrong decision overturned last week.

This submission got auto-rejected for example. It's a metal sign with lighting put up by a local painter. We could argue if it's a perfect Wayspot or not. But it doesn't feel fair to have this auto-rejected...

Update:
I resubmitted the nomination using two daylight photos and it did not get auto-rejected by the bot. So it seems like the bot didn't like the fact that both photographs had such a stark color/ hue contrast.

The bot also seems to filter for "generic" entries. (Which can't be that effective considering all the traffic sign nominations you get while reviewing.)

Currently I'm having trouble getting this submission through the auto-filter.
It's a sign from an anti-racism project by a local employer in cooperation with a union.
I'm assuming the image is "too white" so the bot thinks it's a fake sign. Will have to play with different color balances and croppings probably.

I'm not seeking for help, I'm just posting this here in case it helps someone else with their submissions. Just knowing the fact that a bot auto-rejects some submissions is quite helpful as it often doesn't have anything to do with the eligibility criteria.

Going by your description I'd assume you mean the apartment building itself and not the sign. And even though it isn't a single-family home, the building itself isn't a good place to explore.
If I had to review this submission and the description would be about the sign itself, I'd probably give it ~3★ depending on the area. If there are multiple apartment buildings nearby and each had a similar sign, I'd tend towards 2★, or even 1★. If it is the entry sign to a big apartment complex and there aren't other complexes nearby, I'd tend towards 4★.

Wayfarer also shows the two most picked rejection reasons. So it could very well be that everyone rejected for "other criteria" (as in generic) except for one person picking "private residence" and it would show up.

Okay it’s just weird since where I live it’s a bunch of apartments with all their places (sign names) as pokestops. The grounds have a pool, games, playground. And where I put the location that’s where kids wait for the school bus in the morning and get dropped off in the afternoon. Thank you so much for getting back to me!

Don't get disheartened. It really depends on so many factors. Especially submissions like these can take half a dozen attempts depending on when they go into voting/ if they're upgraded/ where the reviewers are located.

Whenever there is a Wayfarer event you can really see how these factors make a difference.

And one of the most counterintuitive things about it all: Just because a similar (or even identical) submission had been accepted, does not mean it's eligible

Apartment building signs are eligible. There are many around where I live that are pokestops! On top of that, many residents and I have made friends with each other through battling gyms and raiding.

Just saying, that around 5 of them were recently approved around my area (within the last 2 weeks). And the goal of these pokestops is POI to get people together and get to know each other which is what is happening here in the neighborhoods around.

3 of them are gyms now too

The signs are visually interesting and are well designed, they arent normal simple signs

Neighborhood homes of 2+mil houses so the signs are very fancy and background is too

So maybe that is why many are approved. I'd say majority of California's pokestops in suburbs are neighborhood signs actually haha maybe not the general case
