While looking through my Pokémon Go album, I found this shot and remembered when and why I took it. I’ll explain the context behind it, but a small warning: it’s bittersweet.

On October 19, 2021, my family’s pet dog Elly passed away due to breathing issues. We had her as our pet for over 16 years. Later on the day of her passing, my dad made a grave spot for her in our yard.

The following day, on October 20th, I was by Elly’s grave and opened Pokémon Go to see a Rocket balloon. The grunt gave me a shadow Houndour and it had high enough IVs to be purified into a perfect. I named the Houndour after Elly since the aura purified Pokémon have made it look like it was her spirit.

And now you know the story behind this photo. By October of this year, it’ll have been 3 years since Elly passed, but I’m glad that I got this little Houndour to remember her. Rest in Peace Elly and thank you again for those 16 years. ❤️

So it's good but needs improvement for advanced AR photographers. You can only place the Pokemon within quite a small area. Not great if the Pokemon are huge. Also you can no longer cover the lens to move the Pokemon higher or smaller etc. If you cover lens with your hand too long the pokemon goes back in the ball. Not meant Pokemon are able to be moved up in the sky
