A lot of people also use mew/mewtwo ex

but id say those are the two most popular rn

is gyarados/greninja any good

id say it is
it would be really easy to beat with a pikachu ex deck tho
due to the greninja evolution plus the large amount of energy for the gyarados attack pikachu can set up fast and deal a quick 50-110 damage

unless you have a buffer card

like a card that can deal chip damage, has a fairly tanky amount of hp, and can easily retreat

for instance in my celebi ex deck i have a Dhelmise as a buffer card
it has 100 hp, can deal 20 with one energy, and has a retreat coat of two energy

And if you have a serperior it can deal 90 with only two energy
good if you want good damage but you dont want to risk losing a celebi

so id either recommend a lapras or an articuno

both are basic cards

the lapras works the same as dhelmise

the articuno deals 60 for three energy but also paralyzes

and they both have 100 hp
