Girls und Panzer is an anime that revolves around a sport known as "Panzerfahren" or "Sensha-do" - the art of fighting tanks, or tankery, is a lot more common than today. The sport is entirely practiced by girls and women and is considered feminine. The girls and women operate, and battle with all kinds of WWII tanks against other tanking schools while forming bonds with their machines and each other.
Description:
The story starts with a girl called Miho Nishizumi who was kicked out of a family because Miho saved a fellow teammate that had her tank hit by a tank shell which while they were passing through a steep road, the tank rolled off the road into the river so Miho attempted at saving but because she was the commander of the flag tank which was knocked out the following seconds. This led to the Nishizumi Family losing their 10th consecutive win in the finals which her mother kicked Miho out of the Nishizumi family so she was forced to enroll to Ooarai Girls Academy, she had no interest in participating in the sport ever again because of that loss however she somehow ended up joining the newly revived sport in Ooarai and led the Academy through the matches.

Personal Opinion:
In my opinion, the anime is quite interesting if you're into tanks and military stuff and if you're a person who just wants to watch an anime sure watch this, it covers facts about tanks and shows so much tanks from the Second World War era, currently there is one season and a couple of movies keep in mind that the anime hasn't finished yet so please i recommend you watch it
