Thor's Hammer was okay to some extent (and didn't get all that much hate), but Trident was definitely busted and hated. It was a renewable rimpulse that was better than one in every way. It did lots of damage, activated when hitting a player or wall (so the delay between throw and activation was non-existent) and it made late-game fights unbalanced. Oh, and don't forget that it did plenty of damage.

Firstly, 0.5 seconds is nothing. It would be better if more bullets stacked the effect, but probably it's not going to be a huge boost in stun time. Could you give more specs on fire-rate, spread, bullet speed, etc.

Weapons can't be too overpowered, or too weak. It take a lot of time to balance a weapon (I've shared concepts with prominent players and they always said either too weak or too strong) and there's a fine line.

This is why taking inspiration from Soul Knight is difficult.
