Despite the fact that I have no connection problems, whenever I try to connect to my Google Play account, I can't connect, it just prompts the "Check connection and try again". Watching ads also won't work, prompting the same message.

you can export your save as text and save it in a file, make sure your clipboard doesnt cut off the end

well, not connecting to google play is probably an issue with some device setting, not the game itself
