This is intended; You can shift the hand to the bottom right if you click on the bottom right(where the cards are in your screenshot). To return it to the middle you can click on the hand/cards again on the bottom right and it should return it to its default position.

If the hand/cards are stuck on the bottom right than this is not intended.

I have done this on accident many times and I never thought it was intended because many cards are off-screen and un-clickable. I got frustrated and thought it was a bad bug.

I think it was because I double-clicked the blitz button maybe, or maybe mis-clicked the blitz button.

Could you put a little X icon below the cards to easily show you can exit?

There is an icon/area below the blitz button that triggers this, it is a hand of cards with an eye(i think? i forget what it actually is) crossed out or something. I agree its not very intuitive and had the same reaction when I first mis-clicked and my hand went to the side.
