it's normal to have excessive fluid alloys but they are used for

• upgrading lower rarity equipment. Something to consider when you have other excess resources along with fluid alloys too. Every eqiupment counts for 2 collection points. One for getting its base, and the other for reaching its max rarity. Collection points are kinda notable for reaching small crystal milestones from the collection menu.
• donating them to your armada's commission menu
• you can also click the money bag icon on the bottom right and sell them direclty to coins but this rate is prob bad efficiency. More to consider for urgent cases.

Otherwise yeah try to stay on top of doing your material expeditions along with other regular activities like open world or memorial arena to gain a stock of resources.

Work towards the free senadina this patch as well.

If you're rerolling, either coralie or kiana valks on starter banner are fine but don't go after their weapons. While weapons are significant for any valk, the value of a weapon for a rerun is not as great.

Silverwing Bronya valkyrie is farmable in War Treasury, although I'm not fully sure how early a new player can get her. The currency it costs for her is a bit more higher ended in where to get it

Senadina is the name of the character. But a particular character can have multiple battlesuits (different forms of the same character). (Currently Sena only has one suit so it's simpler to just call it sena. The actual battlesuit name is DAFL for Deepspace Anchor: First Light)

if you were a returnee with plenty of progress done and many old valks that are already out of the meta i would've recommended you to restart

so you can refresh and reallocate early game crystals for newer meta stuff

rerolling is a step further

where you repeatedly restart accounts until one of them gives you good luck on your early rolls

but in your case you're just a new player that isn't interested in rerolling. That's ok

anyway just hold on to your gacha currency for now

For early equipment, there's a few sources

• Starter Manual has a few pieces we refer to often such as Fu Hua Musician or Robert Peary.
  • Darwin you can pick up but absolutely do not spend resources on it. It's bad.
• For others such as Theresa Gluttony T or Roald Amundson 3pc you can check the foundry menu. use the filter button at the top right and filter to basic stigmata (all the higher stuff are too expensive for their cost)

Nothing you can farm or get early on will age well to late game (VBm coralie might be a slight technical exception for now). Swallowtail Phantasm (seele) can be used early game but don't spend too much into her. We're keeping things cheap for now until you accumulate enough gacha currency to afford a full release (valk and weapon) later

i prob should've asked what kind of reasons are you interested in this game for

casual wise you really don't need to get crystals to afford anything from the gacha. Story locks you to trial characters eventually and events also give you trials to use.

• you can also go to Attack > Events tab > Tactics class to find tutorials of most valks in the game to try them out without owning them

But meta is otherwise stressed because competing against other player's high scores in abyss is how you get more crystals

it's a bit paradoxical though. You're being meta to afford more meta units. But any unit won't pay for itself in cost to get. So make sure you actually enjoy the meta or what you're getting before shelling out for it

Signature weapons are notable for 30-40% personal damage compared to the next best alternative. For a game where you will eventually compete against other player's high scores, this is a huge loss and overall a meta standard. Signature weapons might also provide important utility and effects to their intended users.

Despite all that, I actually would NOT recommend rolling for FWS (fiery wishing star) Kiana's or FDD (fate defying dragon) Coralie's signature weapons for a new account.

• Both of these valks are ring types a new player cannot find enough farmable supports for, and therefore cannot well effectively play as dps.
• Early game doesn't stress you against other players, and even weaponless they might still be better than farmable barebone teams.
• These are reruns (FWS is over a year old now especially). The mileage and longevity of spending crystals on them are not going to be as great compared to a new release. (late game we currently already don't see much FWS dps scenarios anymore. Keep in mind it'll take roughly 1-2 months for you to reach this point where she may fall further into obscurity for that dps role)
• FWS and FDD doesn't need their weapons to function and operate as a support (although they can lose decent team support buffs compared to other options, but the crystals you are keeping from refraining from their weapons can go towards future newer better supports that may last longer)

the main purpose of rerolling for FWS/FDD early on imo is just getting a gacha quality valk for basically free/cheap that can help with filling in non-farmable or as accessible support roles early/mid game.

however the reason why i suggested a sig weapon in this case is to help them out, beginner stuff will be okay without but by the time they unlock sw, they would be struggling to beform as they'll breakthrough (they need to to properly farm sw anyways)
and sena will also be weaponless and shell be available late so it will not help
since theyre willing to reroll, the cost for getting the weapon wont be bad and as a beginner they still have a lot of crystals to farm so they can justify it
if this was any normal patch, i would just say reroll valk a or b and then pull the brand new valk, but because its just a dkey this time, i think the weapon will actually help them out for now
but yeah thanks for you time

also ill be honest sw taking forever to unlock for a beginner and needing to breathrough to start getting al properly makes her an iffy choice for a beginner but is still a valk i feel they they can still get value of even if they lost some of her beginning shill

if the 2026 selector was given in this patch, i think it wouldve been fine not to get fws/fdd weapon because sw will be ready for early content and breathrough but thats not the case unfortunately

i don't feel the cost of either weapons are justified because in my eyes you don't need it early game and you're not getting much out of it late game.

i do admit sw not being accessible early on makes her very awkward to consider but i also do think she's worth picking up because of her cheap cost, LoA support, and providing surplus to WS teams

there can be some personal opinion within all this from the new player themselves too. If they feel early game isn't tolerable i'm more open to being less meta efficient

yeah it's 30% reso dmg or something which is chunky but i did address this earlier

i still don't know how reso damage is like in the formula. Some veterans were telling me how it's still possibly dmg% rather than separate like bleed

but also FWS greater value is the SD gather and 8% reduction utility and the animation speed which you get from the valk alone. I think they can still appreciate weaponless FWS just fine early on. While the upcoming valk is ||WS dps, i'm also wondering how she will be as a support. It's possible they may opt to use SW and new valk rather than FWS for other WS dps down the road||

I do think you guys have better sense of early game than I do though since I'm a much older player. If you feel this would greatly elevate a new player transition, maybe elaborate on that for their consideration

There was one player I've seen that was struggling against intermediate mob stages with a budget HLE team with VBm and RC in exalted Agony 2 (maybe 3) or something? I don't remember the details but they were playing the budget team correctly for the most part

so i really don't expect much better with an FDD dps team with 1 RoO and no PAWS /// FWS dps with no H.Shift

the idea is that the site is period-sensitive but when sending out emails it is not period sensitive

Rerolling is optional overall. It's ok to stop and just continue without as good of a start.

At the end of the day you're just getting an older gacha valk that won't be as useful and will fall off the meta sooner than a newer release, but will be nice to put together teams earlier on since the situation for newer players is so awkward

The decision is yours overall. Ofc ideally getting lucky at the start is better value and with only 15 mins an attempt, you can on average expect it within a day or a few

but you've seen the process at this point and how grueling and draining it might be to you. It's not everyone's cup of tea

and relatively other games rerolling systems might be a lot more tolerable than a whole 15 minutes so HI3 sits more harshly on that spectrum in that light

being meta in the game is a long term process so it's important to gauge your interest and enjoyment and not burn yourself out

btw to give a reference, full pity for a weapon alone is 17k crystals roughly (60 pulls)

for a valk it's 90 pulls. Valk + weap together full pity is 150 pulls (but first ten pull is usually half off so this is more like 145 pulls at worst. I usually just say 40k crystals)

• For example, Herrscher of Reason is a battlesuit of Bronya's, and so are Wolf's Dawn, Yamabuki Armor, and Silverwing: N-EX!

Many battlesuits that share the same Character (e.g. Fenghuang of Vicissitude and Herrscher of Sentience; Fu Hua) have very different roles and thus different applications in your teams as they have COMPLETELY different skills and gameplay.

60 rolls or 16.8k crystals is the target amount at worst then.

Pity does carry over so technically you can dump whatever you gain at it in this particular case but I don't recommend this because building pity on a weapon banner, and changing banners means you have less room to get stigmatas for that different banner.

and also normally new releases are a valk and weapon that you want to get together. This current case where it's just SW's weapon alone is exceptional

Good enough for me to say viable. But something to be mindful of is that if you want to use her as a dps, you're starting from S.0 rank. SW is an old valk that's basically getting an update at this point. Veterans who have been playing will have her at SSS rank. Don't expect SW dps to be relatively/competitively amazing as a result.

But vets will have other things built that will take time for you to build up too and these would more be players at the semihighest and highest tiers of abyss. The mileage we expect to get out of SW for you doesn't strongly concern that.

SW's rank upgrades are all kind of weak (they prob do add up though) too so maybe if you ever do wind up in that sort of situation you can still compete with good enough playing.

if the explanation confuses you, the simple answer is i feel confident you will find ways to appreciate SW if you are able to get her valk and gacha weapon timely (this or next patch i guess i would roughly say)

you can consult this chart and try to make sure you have enough for upcoming weapons

it takes 9 honkai shards to max upgrade a base weapon too

if you're already done with all those then you can consider maxing out valks to remove their fragments from the open world task pool (but this might be too much for newer players to justify bothering with)

or saving asterite to buy normal crystal cores for affixes in the future (this is the final resort/endless sink)

i have enough matz to max out 1 weapon except for honkai shard but i have enogh matz to buy 9 so yes i already maxed out what i need this patch i can save it up for upcoming weapons

dorm squad a ranks is not maxed because most of them are on A-S ranks i have only simply unlocked them (dorm exp obtained only 73/180)

in terms of sp valks i only use them in shallow seq on er if i need many crystal in a short amount of time, i havent really used it so right now i have no concerns regarding that

so i guess aside matz to upgrade i dont really know what to invest in rn, maybe i can max out the sp valks but yeah just incase any other option is available

do you have any interest in any specific SS memorial arena strats? If so a few sp valks to consider maxing out may be TA, SnS, SI, RC. Maybe that can overlap with dorm squad progress too.

Otherwise i would consider prioritizing unlocking valks for ER if any still aren't unlocked regularly yet.

But overall nothing atm is too imperative to work on unless you have something specific in mind (in which case you prob won't be asking). It's ok to let it build up a bit so you have a decent stock to work with when something does come up too.

ultimately it's normal for asterite to eventually slough off in priority.

i don't think it matters too much as long as you're working on the event early enough. You'll reach the end eventually. I've just been crafting and selling whatever that's highest value for the current point in time rather than buying in anticipation of how it would change. Sorry that your question got missed.

Getting SW purely for handling ER is questionable investment. Weekly deep seq runs for 500 crystals is obtainable with even A rank coralie. ER also changes every few weeks to suit the latest releases so SW won't stay best forever (but will prob still be good enough for a long while if you want to stick with her)

Aside from usage in ER, the SW upgrade can be appreciated in the meta. Mainly Abyss but also Memorial Arena. The current exalted (captain lv 81+) abyss cycle (Ice weather clock Husk boss) will favor SW dps. There will be other scenarios in the future and there will be further scenarios where SW is appreciated as support (especially to World Star teams where she provides the stellar surplus mechanic)

all of SW ranks (except S2 imo since it's a higher independent multiplier) aren't really noteworthy on their own but even tiny differences or an accumulation of them can lead to a difference in ranking outcomes

furthermore keep in mind hi3 is a game of many factors that total to a final result

SW ranks are only one portion of that picture

so even if you have sss sw, it can still fail if you're lacking in teammates, proper gameplay, astral ops, or even tinier things like affixes, dorm, dkeys, emblems, etc

and this further gets muddied by how volatile the competition may be. Maybe you will encounter lazy players and can score with much lower invested stuff than usual or vice versa

now let's talk about the resource side of things too. How are you planning to get these fragments to rank up?

The obvious assumption is going to be WT shop. SW is prob top priority atm (unless you have a strange situation like owning hohe dkey and don't have hohe valk yet). A more reasonable scenario would be if you have a banner you're urgently rolling on, don't feel pressured by SW ranks, and need to unlock more valks in ER for crystals.

But ofc there's other ways to get SW frags like various giveaway boxes or maybe even reserve shop (please don't get it from reserve shop even if you have plenty of orbs). For sources like these that aren't time sensitive, i rather you wait until you have a specific scenario (e.g. knowing what kind of competition you're up against) where you know you need the frags now to improve your score for a change in rankings and rewards

Sorry if that's a much more exaggerated answer than you were looking for but I know you're pretty well progressed in the game and it's probably about time you think more about the whole picture of things.

Tbh i have no idea what got people honing in on SS rank for SW in particular. I do not recognize anything particularly notable about it (i'm not even sure if you would gain much sp from it with how new SW is now).

Got nearly all part 2 characters minus a couple, Got SS-Youyun, affixes are 18 ATK or higher on SW, Max Dorm, ALL D-Keys minus Brick and HoFi, Emblem I use RL

Been using WT to get Fragments and a box which also had some (12 per box) I have HoHe + D-key

I have been promoted to Nirvana a few times and just had bad luck with each time I got Promoted due to weathers

you might opt to hold in RL (wait on side stage or boss stage and aim for retain rather than promote) so you can time a promote into a nirvana cycle you're capable of

but yeah i figured this is the case. I do expect you with your progress to bounce or even retain nirv

generally recommended meta f2p players wouldn't even have all p2 valks with weaps, let alone gacha ops

18 atk per line or 18 per stig? not sure how to read that. Former is decent but beware the high competition will be as close to double 23 as possible. Double 20s minimum is an arbitrary minimum and psychological way of looking at it

anyway for high RL and esp nirv, you're against naturally higher competition. SW has been farmable for a long time. The meta standard is very reasonably SSS there. But with good enough playing (and slack competition) it's not impossible for a lower rank SW to succeed. It's just more uphill.

Normally i would advise keeping a stock of WT currency in case anything urgent happens but WT stuff isn't usually too important and SW is currently of latest relevance and interest atm that i would say it's prob fine to get as much SW frags as you can even if it means zero'ing AL

maybe i should further ask what else you plan to do with your AL but i highly doubt it'll be as of interest than SW for your current case

at any rate i hope that gives you a better overview of things and how to evaluate future similar scenarios

Silverwing DLC is reccomended over Hohe dlc if you can get silverwing; Hohe dlc is not really used for anything these days

she has on rare occasions an abyss but fewer and fewer, and most of the time you need like SS1-SSS Hohe and Hle/Thelema/Rita to compete, and you would have none of those

if you were whaling it wouldn't be the worst backpull but if you're f2p it'd involve you skipping something significantly more valuable to get it

SW is in War treasury, but she's an AL valkyrie. AL income is extremely low until you breakthrough (level 81+) and you would want to have 1-2 built gacha valkyries with gear before you broke through or else you would be bricking your crystal income

If you were a fresh account I would consider rerolling for FDD or Badum on starter banner but at this point possibly you're attached to it?

or just don't want to reroll which is entirely valid since it's a pain

if you're not rerolling, you could still consider picking up Badum from starter banner, but you could also just save

if you were saving, your goal would be to pick up the free senadina in the events tab, and then you'd run Sena VBM VBS as your team while saving for next patch

One theory is that the coagulation phase slowly ticks down hp on its own and you cannot let it finish itself off that way.

Another solution that's worked for some was simply to restart the game.

Otherwise visit that discussion for other non-proven yet attempts at rectifying the issue.

guys why is SW rots so varied, I tried the ingame tutorial rots and didnt get much score then I watched billi and the rots are vastly different between channels even though with the same team

the game as a whole is about doing the most amount of damage in the shortest time, the in-game tutorial rot for sw specifically is a bit unrealistic, most of the time you will not need to be doing all of that to kill a phase. You also have quite a lot of options with what to do with sw outside of Stellar Outburst because you will often be finding the best combination of mirage impact, ult, weapon active, etc. - she's much more simple inside SO

in general it should be faster with dodging, if you don't need to chase the needle, like if you can line stuff up so u can evade it pretty quick, then it should be faster with dodging the needle,

Not this early. About 4-5 hours after the point where you get her and her weapon it begins looping back to referencing earlier characters/story, so I would only recommend getting her and her weapon and then come back when you have caught up.

Do you mean as symbiosis support for Grail dps? But even that depends on the scenario

if you're trying to consider a PAWS Helia backpull, it's not going to be recommended.

Any reruns in general is just usually not as well valued compared to saving for a new release

yeah it's not going to matter. both can get through a decent chunk of early content but then both will run into situations they specialize in and struggle in others. That's the kind of game this is. Loosely speaking if you must pick one then pick the latest released one.

Also beware of the cost differences. HoHE dkey is cheaper but it's also been a while since it's been released. It's just not as relevant nowadays (there is one scenario in two weeks emphasizing her but that's too niche in the grand scheme to recommend)

if you want to build for the broad meta, the general advice will be to save crystals until you can full pity new releases (valk and weapon together), and focus only on new releases when you can afford them

as f2p or light spending this won't get everything but you'll get most releases and can go high in abyss to the semihighest tier.

Advice is generally meta focused because you get significant crystals from abyss.

But it's not absolutely required if you don't enjoy the meta and/or don't have much you desire from the gacha.

The game does appeal to casuals in the sense that for story and events you really don't need anything from the gacha to appreciate.

You'll have to decide the answer to your own question really on what interests you personally have.

loosely speaking i think a f2p player can expect 18-22k crystals per patch? I might be confusing the higher end of this with light spenders (monthly and/or knight bp)

but a full valk+weap on average can cost 32k or so? I generally tell people to prepare for the worst and aim for 40k.

so at worst you're expecting to pull a full valk every other patch if you maintain the game well

we generally have like two major patches in a year. The CNY one and the SEA/CN anni patch.

i can't recommend HLE metawise since that's an opportunity cost of something new instead but it's ok to make slightly meta inefficent choices for your personal preferences. You still have time to appreciate her meta wise but just don't expect as much mileage compared to a newer release.

i don't know when she will be rerunning but you can check #🔮cn-gameplay-discussion pins regularly to see if she would show up in the forecast

and if you ever want to just play her remember you can access her tutorial via attack > events tab > tactics class

strictly speaking meta is not necessary. Story and events give trials to use so you really can go gacha less if you must

but part of the game's activity is competing against other players in abyss and memorial arena. Abyss in particular has notable crystal rewards (1000 which is half of your regular weekly income if you go high enough)

but also rolling a valk purely for meta won't pay for herself. A valk+weapon can cost 40k crystals. So make sure there's an overlap of your own interest.

that's fine. it's a major source of not-time limited crystals after all so it can be nice to tap into in a pinch when a banner is expiring

although beware some aspects of the story aren't so kind to revisit. You may need to consult another person's playthrough to go back to appreciate it when you're ready, assuming you're interested.

otherwise story is only one part of the game. There's other aspects to appreciate if it's not your thing
