but tldr, stigs are no longer gacha only. You only need valk and weapon.
Valk pity is 90 rolls now but we do get a half discount on the first 10x roll so it's more like 85 rolls in cost.
Weapon pity is 60.

So putting that together you're looking at 145 rolls. It takes 280 crystals per roll so you can math from there.

We're still kind of early in the patch so you're probably safe with 30k crystals as long as you keep playing to get up to 40k. Be mindful of anything else you may want to get though.

also team building has changed tremendously since you last played. Back in part 1 we build teams around damage elements and characters generally have very specific roles. Now we go by the astral ring system and any valk can be a dps or a support depending on how they fit in the team

Astral Ring and Specializations

Characters under the Astral Ring System will have one ring type (Specialization), and one or multiple tags (Attributes) that will determine how they can form teams. This system is only activated if a Character with Astral Ring is set as the leader. When activated:

• the team will benefit from effects (e.g., Stigmata buffs) that require Astral Ring.
• the team will gain access to Stellar Outburst, a high damage output state you can enter after charging enough energy (Astral Ring Intensity).

the important thing is, just because you get the next new valk doesn't mean you'll be able to play her properly if you don't have matching teammates.

Tbh if your account is from that long ago you might want to consider restarting a new account. It's ok if you don't want to though.

HoT is very out of date now. She doesn't have astral ring and was already outclassed by Lunar Vow even at max potential

Nowadays nearly all new teams have astral ring though. So anything without astral ring (especially anything farmable) is not going to be meta. Meta is important because competing against other players in abyss well gives you a lot of crystals

you don't need anything to clear story. Early story is very weak while later story forces characters on you regardless if you own them or not.

Meta wise story is just a source of crystals. It's not a measure of account progress.

If you're more casual then meta isn't going to matter as much but HI3 is a game where a middle of both can exists.

As long as you're aware of the trade offs I can still tell you how to build older valkyries. I can even tell you how to build them cheaply/afforrdably or to a max degree.

Metawise again i don't recommend building non astral ring valkyries too greatly. DW is no exception really

HoHE is going to be farmable in war treasury next patch. The only valk i would be wary of losing here is DW if you care about her if you want to consider restarting but again this is not required.

Can you show me your stigmatas and weapons too? The purple and gold rarities are fine.

Unfortunately i had to chek them on my pc. But mostly i have sporadic stigmas, I'm still trying to build HoT, and just focus on building her

HoT's best gears are going to be handel set which is a G4 from foundry.

If you want something cheap, use edison set but this is far weaker.

Early game may have given you darwin set. Do not use it. It is the next generation of lightning dps stigs so to speak but its effects are very impractical to use and it costs alot more to upgrade.

Her best weapon is 7 thunders of retribution which is obtainable from reserve works battle pass shop

for teammates, ideal ones might be lunar vow and golden diva (eden). Maybe the recent Schicksal's Imperative Theresa too but i'm not sure about this. Herrscher of Truth is also a notable candidate.

But you don't have much of those. GD needs her weapon too.

On a budget you can consider Valkyrie Blastmetal (VBm Coralie), Reverist Calico (Pardofelis, RC), fischl (PV), Valkyrie Boltstorm (Helia VBs)

Immutable Crystallums

Hey there, Captain!

Crystallums are a Battle Pass Currency that can be exchanged for Valkyries and Equipment in the Reserve Works. Captains who purchase Knight or Paladin BP can also access the BP Works of that patch for 3 versions.

There are 3 BP tiers offering different amounts of Crystallums as follows:
-# The totals below account for the 2 Crystallums in the Dorm Shop.

• Vanguard (F2P) BP: 5 per patch
• Knight BP: 18 per patch
• Paladin BP: 24 per patch

It is recommended to spend your Crystallums on Divine Keys that you have yet to collect for permanent account-wide ATK bonuses. See the list [here](#👶beginner-help message).

Free Stigmata Boxes

Hey, Captain!

In Honkai Impact 3rd Part 2, most new Valkyries will have a Stigma Option box given for free! But when should you use them?

If you are pulling for the corresponding weapon, you should open the box AFTER you have 2 different pieces of that stigmata set already. These stigma boxes are optimally used to finish a stigmata set. This also applies to Part 1 stigmata boxes, if you have any.

If you...

• Obtained the weapon before you got at least 2 stigmata set pieces, stop pulling! Open the box to get the best piece and then craft any missing stigmata (you can find these in Foundry).
• Already got the full stigmata set before the weapon (there are high chances that you did), keep the box as a collectible or open it, select a random stigma and salvage it for Source Prism.
• Are skipping or have skipped the corresponding weapon but want to get the Stigmata set, open the box first for the best piece then craft the other two via Foundry.
• Skipped the weapon and do not intend to craft the Stigmata set, you have no urgent reason to open the box, so keep it.

Regarding Bronya: N-EX, you can open the box once you own T or B and use it to finish TB. M is not BiS on SW.

since they're already maxed i suppose you can use them for now until you get something better

We're digressing alot though. From what i understand you seem quite ||Mei focused and maybe we can discuss her other forms too (like HoO?). However all these old meis can be obtained in not costly ways over time. We should more focus on the new valk for now||

7 thunders is worth getting but not for actual usage reasons. It's only good now as a divine key which can passively give you stats from the dorm menu (+10 atk)

but i mean if you're just focused on mei then sure prioritize it first

my biggest concern is that even if you get the new valk, you won't be able to make them operate smoothly because you don't have supports for them

so we should really be focusing on how you can get these supports

i do have a few suggestions but one of them is going to be restarting your account.

I also want to ask where in the game do you plan to use these valks the most?

• Abyss is usually the main focus
• story you won't be able to use your own stuff a majority of the time. If you just want to run around late story mode maps with your own valks then that's fine but ||one of my plans is to get lunar vow, and she won't be available here in late story||

how much do you understand astral ring team building? Do you know what do the ring type and tags of each of your valks mean?

which of these valks have their weapons? Gacha weapons are generally important. However for these valks, i wouldn't recommend catching up on them anymore with crystals. Save them for newer releases.

So astral ring valks are multifunctional. They can be a dps or a support depending on how the team is organized.

Signature weapons are important for personal damage. usually 30-40%. Basically without weapons, you're not really looking to use them as a dps unless you really have nothing else better.

Obviously your JDS doesn't have her weapon (again i don't recommend catching up on it), so while JDS leader with Vita and VBm Coralie can be a team, you're prob better off with something else.

You generally want to buy out at least VBm fragments each week as you can buy fewer of the fragments of astral ring valks.

You're not expected to speedrun a full team. Both valks on the starter supply are suitable supports for her, but both are also pretty old and have pretty much no DPS usage left as a result

we usually suggest planning for future valkyries instead, every patch usually gives just enough crystals to be able to afford them

and as a beginner you have a ton of extra crystals sources to go through

In the meantime it's fine to use supports that don't directly support Miss Espionage's astral ring type. Valkyrie Blastmetal (VBm) is your best early game valk for that case, the third slot can be either Boltstorm (VBs) or one of the p1 supports that are generally alright like Pardofelis RC (Reverist Calico)

VBs because she primarily provides lightning dmg buffs

RC has a total dmg taken debuff on enemies by casting purple combo atk or ult

VBS also gives stellar drain which is nice

Next patch is also expected to be somewhat more expensive then normal so having a bit extra crystals for that one is a very reasonable idea.
In practice the choice is between the better long term value play which is no backpulling and the better short term play which gives you a team right now but leaves you with units which aren't going to do much reasonably soon.

You can put her on the p2 bridge and afaik also walk around with her if you're exploring p2 areas outside of the normal story, from a meta perspective serapeum is not recommended atp but if you're casual it's your decision in the end

I want to emphasize that it has to be a p2 bridge so you can't put her on buyable P1 bridges like the train station for example

You just have to ult on AE as the first thing in the rot which feels unnatural but your rot will be fucked if you do not

Her best stigs are FoV's but you probably don't have them, Margrave won't really come close to it but better than nothing. It can probably clear low level content

Also keep in mind my AE is SSS

Up until recently I was able to clear fire ganesha in nirvana which is (or at least was - they released some new ones that are much worse) notoriously one of the hardest side stages in the game. AE dps is genuinely pretty strong considering she was never designed to be a dps but obviously it's not gonna compare to more modern teams xD

Doubt she could be used seriously on bosses these days, more of a funny team to use for mobbing

It's awful in MA due to her complete reliance on the 90 starting sp to ult asap to start the rot

I also have qte on for AE dps

Nah that's the right place, for pledge of Sakura you need to craft the spirit weapon first and then craft the actual weapon so try to find both of those, then ether fuel ( the green thing ) is also obtained via universal mirage

If you achieve those two you will have two mostly not cope teams and will easily shoot into agony 3 abyss

Your third priority would be
-||Grab either Badum or FDD from Carnival free pulls, but don’t pull their weapon. Paws would also be okay but a worse pull than those two. Only spend 20 free pulls, unless you end up with 20k crystals after dkey in which case we can talk||

Which would help but is less important than the first two

In the mean time while preparing for next patch you’ll could work on upgrading Valkyrie Blastmetal, especially getting her weapon from part 2 story if you haven’t yet and ranking her up. You can also see about getting Reverist Calico and Terminal Aide from the asterite shop with spare Asterite

I just want to add in, while CN has the ability to do this, it really isn't major in the grand scheme of things.

Unless you're skipping many many new releases, you don't ever accumulate too many blue or pink cards before you need to resort to crystals. Keep in mind income for f2p/light spenders isn't enough to afford every new release for meta purposes.

If you ever find a specific scenario where every roll matters and you need to ensure no excessive pulls in one banner so you can save more for another, you wouldn't be doing ten rolls. Some gacha games may offer a guarantee for doing a 10 roll at once, but this game isn't like that. There is a guaranteed higher rarity every 10 rolls but this can be reached with single rolling (just like in genshin).

You do need to watch the gacha animation every time when single rolling though.
