alot of resource management in this game is conservative so if you cannot identify an immediate use case to gain a ranking improvement for more rewards, then the upgrade is just going to cost you resources for nothing

you might want to see how your current team can do for now. Otherwise you can also try crafting the full set but not upgrading a single piece (this only costs 6 prisms but beware of your ether fuel count too)

vbm is the a rank coralie, valkyrie blastmetal
hofi is herrscher of finality, with her dkey she gets the roo ring as well
and I forgot to mention lp as well, lone planetfarer, as she also has the roo tag

roo is rite of oblivion, and its a ring that can slot into any other ring as a filler assuming you dont have supports with the proper tag
hle is gonna be in the goi ring, goi's ring tag is symbiosis, roo units can provide their buffs and count towards hle's leader skill even if they dont have the symbiosis tag

be sure to prioritize bfd(more commonly called fdd) and paws first before vbm btw. VBm is alot more likely to fall off in favor of more gacha stuff down the road

ideally you hold out enough to need to pay for her stigs but at the same time in that long term you prob will overflow on materials that it doesn't matter too. The shortages really just matter early on or if you're not active in the game to get them.

I wouldnt recommend that, sparkle cant support the new ring and is limited by her niche (quantum which requires her weapon tbw, refer to what I mentioned earlier about some valks being borderling unplayable without their weapon)

retaining redlotus isnt something that happens after playing for 1 patch, that's the reason a lot of players dont want to be competitive it needs time and patience
I know eu redlotus is a joke compared to sea redlotus, but on my alt I was able to get back into redlotus and retain it after 2 patches (starting from eepy teri banner) despite skipping a lot of big valks like fws and ps only dipping back to a3 during bleed weathers

but you definitely should be able to retain redlotus with a well rounded account (dorm level progression, a decent dkey arsenal, and newer valks) and understand how the game/valks work

there are 4 pieces of equipment garunteed every 10 pulls on equipment banner
the weapon and the 3 stigmatas
you have a higher chance of getting one of the 3 stigmatas than you are the weapon, and odds are you will be able to get at least 2 unique stigmatas from the banner (or all 3) so holding onto the box until you get 2/3 stigmatas allows you to pick the 3rd from the box without needing to spend another 2 source prisms crafting it

in the case you get all 3, some players like to pick a stigmata and check the affix or just pick the source prism from the box itself

anyway such importance of thelema's weapon includes

• personal damage: hohe's own damage when not in outburst state sucks. When in charging state, thelema often takes some field time to help with damage. Generally signature weapons can 20% of a valk's personal damage or greater but thelema's case is drastic. I do not know the numbers for thelema as a support, but if thelema is a main dps, she loses 60% without her signature weapon loosely speaking
• time stop: the weapon grants thelema 3s of time stop after her ultimate which is useful for
  • dealing more damage (this is prob why it's 60%)
  • giving her effective more outburst time if she's the main dps (not the case for hohe)
  • in specific cases letting her pause some enemy hitbox to farm evades (more on that later)
• astral ring restoration: normally if you evade an enemy attack properly, you restore 2 sp for the team and 1 astral ring intensity (ari/the big blue button). With thelema's weapon, any ult evade she gets will restore 2 more (total of 3 per evade). This lets her rapidly restore your outburst state in specific fights. I have some examples of it happening here #💁gameplay-help message
• there's other benefits to her weapon of course but those are the main points

despite how staggering this list is, thelema is a old unit and doesn't see as much use as she used to. She doesn't support the latest teams with her tags. her weapon is not recommended to backpull for when the up to 60 pulls can be spent on something more new and useful

so try to use it to unlock a new valkyrie from your current roster every week. Aside from new gacha releases that you'll aim to pick up, other ER available valks be obtained from asterite shop and war treasury shop.

Meta wise if you're a new or developing player, you probably shouldn't be doing either of these things.

well anyway i'll assume you're asking about NCCs since the latter sounds strange to me

NCCs has numerous sources. However for most of these, there's prob something else you should be spending your resources on instead.

• Coin Shop (if you still need to buy more after reaching the daily limit then you can buy honkai pieces (purple cubes) to craft specific cheap 3* stigmatas in the foundry to trash into NCCs. Lmk if you want to know what these are.
• Asterite shop. No limit here.
  • Check pins on where to get more asterite.
• Witch Orb Shop. Unlock this when you max out farmable A rank valks and continue getting more of their fragments. It's roughly half raw value iirc to do it this way but when you're done farming everything else and have a good stock, then your stamina is going to waste anyway.
• battle pass and events may give some more
• master shop has a one time amount of these you can get
• technically there's some in the supply shop but this is not good value. Do not get NCCs from here.

please keep in mind affixes are marginal stats that really only matter in very specific situations or in very high tiers of the game. If you don't care about meta and just want to get maximum stats for self satisfaction then that's fine too. Otherwise maybe avoid spending more of them for now.

Overall, you should only affix Best-in-Slot Stigmata and generally aim to get as much Atk as possible on your DPS Valkyries first. Ensure that the Battlesuit/Weapon Type matches what the Affix line demands otherwise the Atk will not apply.

I'll tell you upfront, with how abyss brackets are volatile, you're not going to be able to determine an answer right now. I'll recommend you to wait until you encounter a specific abyss cycle where hohe is being a dps, and when you play tested to know for sure you're slightly off from improving your rankings and trophies.

every abyss cycle and boss matchup is hyper specialized to one particular dps

furthermore, in some cases you can bruteforce one element with a different one (e.g. FWS retaining against lightning guaymas)

All i'm trying to say is you cannot expect hohe to be a substitute for HLE

If there's any other earlier part 2/astral ring valk ranks that is of interest to you (e.g. thelema s2 or ss) maybe hold out for them. Granted they did skipped a bunch of valks from HoHE to sena though so i can't guarantee who the next one will really be||
