Overall, you should only affix Best-in-Slot Stigmata and generally aim to get as much Atk as possible on your DPS Valkyries first. Ensure that the Battlesuit/Weapon Type matches what the Affix line demands otherwise the Atk will not apply.

for your fws team, you can pick across sparkle, vita, and sushang. Whoever is best is going to depend on the scenario. There's no true general answer

there can be a general best in a neutral scenario, but neutral scenarios rarely exist in this game. Every scenario is going to be skewed in some way

in the case of this current abyss, while phys is -50%, people are still using JDS songque as a support for FWS. This is because no other valk in the game can trigger SD enemies' critical point like she can (force enemies into max hp state early)

and despite the damage loss, she still can do respectable damage (mainly due to a trick called fish skip)

but there are some adjustments in response to this damage loss. People don't do extended animations of her's that they normally would do

so stick with fws sparkle and vita and brute force then change if its not working more or less

well not exactly. What i'm more trying to say is you need to pay attention to various details

but if you want to do that for now then that's fine

otherwise think about what each valk on the team is actually providing. Main points of each are:

• vita provides elemental breach and can do decent hitcount
• sparkle buffs very passively and can force a swap and reduce ult cooldowns with her ult
• songque can force critical points on SD enemies
• sushang can inflict bleed and deal high hitcount. She can reset the leader swap and qte CD somewhat quicker than others too

there maybe other reasons why you may consider these valks too but it would be unreasonable of me to cover everything for everyone here and now

you can read descriptions from the valk's skills, stigs, and weapons. You'll also learn more if you refer to video references of strong scores and try to figure out the meaning behind all their actions.

once you understand the valk well, you'll know what to remove and/or to add and overall how to adjust for various scenarios

but none of this stuff happens overnight. It's a gradual process as long as you expose yourself to the game more. Ofc you can keep asking questions here too

for references at an RL level i mainly recommend hieu le. You can find one of their videos linked earlier from mango

for rough damage testing or damage comparisons i recommend wyverein, but don't take anything too strictly.

some people may recommend marisa but i personally have noted marisa's information to be incomplete, and some of his content can be problematic for unfamiliar players. Granted i haven't looked at any of his more recent content so perhaps things have changed. If you do check out marisa, it's fine to have him be an introduction but not as an end all to your information.

the general flow of how i would recommend learning more indepth mechanics to playing the game is going to be

• most ingame recommendations are bad and should be ignored but the ingame tutorials are ok. Start with those to learn what buttons does what for your valk
• find a recent reference for the current content you're fighting against. Pay attention to their sequence and make sure it makes sense. Think of it in bits and pieces and not as a whole inflexible block
• for anything that doesn't make sense, try looking it up in the game to understand it
• there's a back and forth between referencing and looking things up
• again you can ask here as well

but everyone is different so my method may not work for you

if i had to make a guess for the original ref maker whoever that is, think about what else you can be filling in that time instead. The fight at that point is semi gated waiting for the boss to give you the hitcount and right before it, it was doing fws basics too. Maybe it's just better damage with the weather bonus or maybe it's a quick way to sneak in some ari regen.

In general though it's usually not worth doing. If you really wanted the extra damage maybe see if you can extend it to a ba2 cancel too idk.

but also in the future maybe keep the nirv talk out of beginner help lol

you don't have to force yourself to do earlier story now if you don't want to. It's permanent content.

If you're concerned about limited time rewards from latest story additions, then keep in mind the game does let you skip directly to it. You will get spoiled this way though so if you care about story, then it's arguably more worth to give up on the limited time rewards to not spoil yourself.

maybe you can be more specific with the mechanics of the chapter you're on that's really dragging you down (without going into details of the story itself)

at least you can skip cutscenes for that, although beware if you skip over any cg moments you'll have to replay the chapter to unlock them into your collection menu in the future if you ever care for that

collection menu does have milestones for minor crystals too

if you want to be safe about it then you can mash through the cutscenes instead but this is alot more work too

yeah i can't help you there. Part 2 astral ring valks are not allowed in part 1 while at a certain point the game locks you into specific trials for immersion purposes

sometimes the drag and slug is part of the immersion too

yeah beta will be soon. it won't completely represent the final product but it should give us a decent idea of the main roles of the new valk and how other valks can support

also i would be extra hesitant on rolling if you can't secure a safe amount to guarantee both badum and her weapon

a valk without her weapon is much more punishing in this game than other hoyo games

if you still want to chance at getting valk early, then make sure you don't go below weapon pity (17k if 60 pulls)

• do you understand her actual uses? How to make teams with her? What gimmicks does she have that sets her apart from others?
  • but you're relatively new so alot of this may go over your head
• some people are interested in fws kiana because she's kind of like the cover girl of the game. Therefore, they expect her to be meta favored by the devs that way. However, i don't personally agree with this idea

you can put together a team with only law of ascension ring types and it will work but that's not the reason why they will work. This also exclude other options that can also work

RoO is different from other ring types. It doesn't really have a consistent leader dps gimmick. The main general thing about RoO is that it can benefit any part 2 team even without the matching tags to a more limited extent

if you look at a team menu you'll see for any astral ring valk they have a x/3 levels of leader skill effects based on how many valks on the team matches with their ring type

the game will give you dorm tickets that are only usable on dorm. Those are ok to spend especially to clear early missions that asks you to do so.

If you don't have to, however, even dorm cards should be saved for specific events called spending events, where any rolls done during it will give bonus rewards.
