HoTr can operate as a budget ice dps but you'll want to make sure she's leader since one of her independent multiplier is there

from there you can support her with JK and Kira

HoTr's main role is a fire and lightning support that gives the team breach with her ult, allowing them to partially ignore enemy resistance stats

so maybe you can have her support coralie that way

if any of your valks are more recent and have full signature gears you'll likely want to consider them more than these barebone options

I was told that if I wanted to see if I wanted to try and get a valk early, I should keep my roll count above 60 to guarantee weapon. Did they mean take 'guarantee in x pulls' to at least 60 or take the beginning 'guarantee in x pulls' minus 60 (Like if I did no pulls - assuming base guarantee is 100- then I do it until guarantee is in 40)?

They probably meant your actual crystal count, the idea is that you pull on the valk while you always stay above your weapon pity crystal wise. For example if you have 80 pulls saved and your pulls until gurantee is 60 on weapon banner you can do 20 pulls on the valk banner, if you get the valk nice go for weapon if you dont you have pity saved up for the next valk

if you are in the same situation but have 40 pulls until guarantee on weapon banner you could pull 40 times on battlesuit supply

imo HoFI dkey is not worth it, she is rather niche as a DPS and support and dumping 60 pulls, which you dont even have, will delay a new valk even further

to give some credit and despite how much i've campaigned against gacha astral ops, i do think there's room to consider them even as f2p once your account has reached a wide enough roster to be bouncing between nirv and RL

in nirv territory things can be so skewed that even a full s0 team can demote in some cases that going wide can arguably flawed there

• i should note there might be some bias here since the nirv situation in NA is basically get into t100 myriad or demote with a -200

so you can opt to be picky about what kind of nirv retain/myriad positions you want, in exchange for what brackets you'll lose or more preferably bruteforce decently on.

but skipping a valk and eating a -200 every other weather for the first few weeks will almost certainly send your butt close or even down to RL

overall for beginners/developing accounts, none of the enclosed above applies yet. Focus more on coverage with new valk+weapons in the meantime

i'm not really sure if this is truly the case. At the end of the day dreamseeker still is going to lack damage compared to gacha ops. It's not completely out of line of comparing jingwei or bd elf vs gacha elves.

It's just that there are some fights where the advantage difference (mainly from ARI) can be mitigated

elves do have utility like gather and cooldown reduction but some of that can be played around in some situations

if you barely got any cope stigs then run Teri gluttony t fhm mb and whatever weapon since it doesn't matter

start with si, use her normal and charged attacks to apply bleed when villv jumps on top of her weapon, when you do that 3 times use si ult if available (/or apply bleed with her chargered attack) then do the usual stuff with badum and que
when bleed runs out use switch to si and use a charged attack or ult if available then repeat
for the transition just keep dodging until villv rides her weapon
do the same as above until villv got one health bar left then prepare si ans span her normals and charged attacks (and ult when available) and spam it on villv and that's it

si's does have sp issues so you'll just need to adjust your rotation based on what's available

make sure to have bleed applied on villv

alternatives (note that without their sig weapon their dps is worse) is just whatever that you have leveled or keep the base or craft one but keep it at level 35

normally you wanna have enough pulls to get the new character with their weapon to avoid this issue

Since I suspect you're relatively new I'll just leave this here just in case. Maybe it'll still prove useful even if you aren't.

Early on you can use anyone really to go through story and other content such as abyss as you climb the levels. Herrscher of the Void solo is a pretty common starting setup as you build up your account. Here's a list of some beginner team examples you can work towards #👶beginner-help message.
Most of the stuff in there you can get by progressing through the starter manual orthe story. Ask away if you're unsure where to get what.

This should tide you through before you eventually pull a new valk + weapon next patch (or whenever it's recommended really). Also the wiki usually has the sig gear listed as the top recommendation for a battlesuit https://honkaiimpact3.fandom.com/wiki/Glossary_of_Terms, just ignore the other build recommendations in there since they won't be relevant to you (many times somewhat dubious or simply not worth).

but overall the basic gameplay flow of this event is

• pick a build from the top right
• go to the shop in between fight rounds to try to assemble the chosen team (marked with a thumbs up icon at the corner)
• note that upgrading your roster slots will allow the shop to have more rare units
  • it can be a strategy to avoid spending excess coins and refreshes at the start so you can rush expansions and aim for stronger and rarer chibis later
• on rounds 3, 6, 9 you will be allowed to pick passive items. These items can grant powerful effects that can favor more specific builds (e.g. honkai cube item for honkai disaster team)
• try to be the last one standing. Some builds are stronger than others.
  • In zenith, certain builds will get emphasized from the stage effects
