It is to me XD I only ever draw digital. But for some it's not, some find it very difficult to do lineart on a tablet because they appear elsewhere than where you actually draw them (guess it's easy when you have one of those fancy ones with a screen)

That's... Really fine in my book. I come from Azur Lane, where they literally just shotgun waifus out each few patches.
And it gets tiring. No character development. No nothing.
But in Honkai we have chapters upon chapters of manga detailing the characters, alongside the cooking anime and the game story. And it frankly just plain makes them better characters.

Honestly Chinese can sound really nice when it's not through a super thick accent. Mihoyo chose VERY good voice actors.
I swapped over to the Chinese pack in game and I'm never looking back. The voice acting is much more consistent in quality across all characters.

Yeah. Chewed through Sirin having a mental breakdown, Captain just... Finally throwing in the towel, admitting she needed help, and calling in Theresa... And now I'm back to Sirin progressing.
The mall trip did, in fact, not go as planned.
And by that I mean reminding Sirin of Bella just made her completely shut down and rendered her even less functional than she had been when she showed up.

Wholesome shopping trip is very much so planned, but I feel like Sirin having that really emotional moment was needed.
Also writing Theresa is fun. She came out a lot differently than I had originally intended.
Originally she was gonna be super smug and whatnot and it just... Honestly didn't gel with the situation. So instead she... Well was smug at one point but aside from that it's been very serious, very "We need to do X"
And she was also pissed with Captain for a bit.

That happens, too. I switched between "Teri Teri~" and "I am qualified to be an S-rank Valkyrie" on the spot, so...
Which I didn't know was an actual story thing until I saw it. In the story. Obviously.

Teri for the most part was fairly serious in my case. To say Captain was running on fumes was an understatement.
Sleeping on couch with no blanket and pillow because she wasn't expecting guests, and had nothing on hand. Sirin gets the bed because Sirin is priority. Not sleeping well, waking up at odd hours in the morning to Sirin having had nightmares curled up against the sliding glass door crying. Not able to go grocery shopping because honestly leaving Sirin unattended is probably a really bad idea in her state.
And by the time Theresa gets over being absolutely furious with Captain for taking Sirin in in the first place, she just goes "... Well, we have one shot at getting this right, and I'm already involved so Otto's gonna have my head on a pike no matter what."
And this is after Captain messaged her being really, really cryptic (on purpose) and just asking for Theresa to bring as much groceries as possible.
Not a happy lady.

I've been having a blast with the project.
I absolutely love Sirin and God Kiana as a character and love the idea of her getting a chance at being happy and just generally doting on her.
I've very much so been focusing on being wholesome but... It's not all bright and happy. Sirin is very much so mentally broken.
@hard dust I feel like you are correct, and he likely knew well before he showed up... But I want to go with some time to develop the characters, and specifically go for a smug AF Otto that's purposefully messing with Captain and trying to game them.
Otto's an ass. He's a slimy fuck who is playing the long game and I feel like he'd have watched from a distance before intervening at all.

Sirin needs an identity and to not be wanted, so that she can actually function in society. Captain honestly just... Needs a new home because having a one bedroom apartment when living with a kid is not on. It's not really big enough for the two of them long term, which requires Sirin to have identification in order to be on the lease because legally she is an adult.

I went with Captain has a fair bit of money but she has... Really not a whole lot of stuff, spending most of her time on the Hyperion obviously. So she has a nice, but small and fairly cheap (For the area) apartment.
One bedroom, nice kitchen, nice view of the city.
Makes sense given single person.

I went the other way. After all, you are the Captain of the Hyperion, who works for Shicksal, a multi-national conglomerate that has fingers in so many pies that it's not even funny.
Monetary compensation, then, would also follow suit, and Otto Apocalypse, to my knowledge, does not skimp out on such things.

I'm (personally) glad you have a direction. I'm more or less stuck on whether I want to continue the pace I've set up in previous chapters (no more than a day in advance) or use the current idea and have a (relatively short) timeskip of two weeks.

By the point where I'm at now it's been just about a week.
I feel like if you need to move from one plot point to another and the only way to get there is filler, have a time skip that explains what happened between the two periods in a brief manner.
