now i'm in uni learning programming
thing is i was never confident enough to show anyone my concept arts because i thought they really sucked, but my 3D was better than average, so i pursued that

And 3D modelling is really hard to learn, you need to save a bunch of money for courses or learn it with tutorials.
I can say as a culturologist that I see a really sad tendency in Russia that old generation traditional artists of classic schools don't even consider digital as "art" at all.
