For Luna there was a Top-up event + the stamps in BP + the stamps in supply shop now. There was literally a ton of stamps out there.

HoRb got some only on BP and spending event.

What I meant to say it's not directly about the planning but rather the game balance (for the DK release) since there is enough opportunities to get Luna to SS2 at the very least for the paid players compared to S2 or SS for the newer players

gacha ops at ss rank tend to have something significant. Mainly the ARI regen for returning to a second outburst. The difference of playing this can be pretty night and day. (without sera op, or any other extra ARI regen, a WoD team with sena can easily have sena run out of her breach effect before outburst is ready again)

But this hardly gets appreciated strongly in RL tier. Enemies may not be tanky enough to emphasize that difference. In many cases having the said gacha op only improves your score by roughly 30 points. Hardly necessary to retain.

i think another reason for that is because you're asking about reruns too. How often do you pull them? If you're f2p/light spending, constantly pulling on reruns hurt you overall in the long run

you're not getting as much longevity, and you miss out on many abyss cycles that have already emphasized them on their release patch.

The main advice is to forget about reruns. Focus only on saving for new releases. Pull only when you can get valk and weapon early in the patch.

but yeah if you're getting youyun, songque prob won't see use for your WS teams. Idr too much about WoD aside from surplus stuff which is rita dependent. Dunno if you have her. (i don't think youyun activates surplus for WoD? Cmiiw)

Songque still benefits elementals generically iirc so I do think she can be like a better dreamseeker in many cases but i also can't say any of this first hand. I can only tell you I do have alot of cycles that i retained just fine with DS but my account is also more well off than yours?

As for GoI specifically I personally feel that ring type has been the most polarizing to not have the gacha op for. I can imagine Songque's extra ari on weapon helping (there was definitely a paros weather where i wanted even just one more ARI) but otherwise i don't feel songque will be enough for many GoI cases.
