that would effectively get rid of your honkai account, there is no function to "reset" an account so the only way to start over on that hoyvoerse account would be to unbind the honkai account and then when you log in it would start a new account

and if you could, max you be able to free is like 400-500mb everything else is need it for gameplay in other modes

at first sound like a connection issue, but the game still should open, and then tell you that you have connection issues
try to restart and see if you still have the problem, if that is the case try to run the game exe manually (BH3.exe on the game folder).
if that still doesnt work try to run the game on compatibility mode (#🔌technical-help message) and/or clear the cache (#🔌technical-help message).
for last option reinstall the game.
if after you try everything, you still cant play, you should contact CS #how-to-contact-cs

recently (since 7.2 I think) I've been having trouble with hi3 deciding to ignore my controller for a while; after some time it starts working again. while it's not working it still shows up fine in the windows game controller control panel. I'm seeing the same problem with xbox360 and ps4 controllers, both connected by usb. this is the client from the website. sometimes the buttons work but not the stick.

Then account retrieval won't help you. It's only purpose is to link old mihoyo accounts to hoyoverse accounts and if you've played at all since July 2022 then your account is linked to a hoyoverse.

Your issue is that it's either the wrong account or the wrong server. Since you played a week or two ago we can safely assume that you are in the global server so you're just simply using the wrong account, try a different hoyoverse account

3. go into the BH3_v7.2.0_b2a1fd200642 folder that you extracted the download into and copy EVERYTHING in there.
4. go back to the folder in your screenshot (the one with bh3 in it) and paste the files you copied.
5. overwrite any same files if windows asks.
6. once done pasting then delete the bh3_v7.2.0 folder
7. open launcher and hopefully profit!!!

1. close launcher
2. in your honkai impact 3rd\games folder. delete the BH3_v7.2.0_b2a1fd200642.7z_tmp file
3. copy the BH3_v7.2.0_b2a1fd200642.7z download that you still have probably in your downloads folder.
4. paste that zip file in the honkai impact 3rd\games folder
   DO NOT EXTRACT
5. open launcher and let it finish the update

imo probably is better to do a "clean install" just to be sure, because depending of the unzip error could mean some files still "change" on the folder.

if its on the same server and login then it would be the same account, the game doesnt really bug out like giving you the wrong account wh en logging in. are both set to americas or does either of them not have the americas/europe in the upper right corner?

and also keep in mind that 3rd party logins like google account login is not the same thing as its associated email login. you can in theory have a hoyoverse account on google account [e-mail] and then have a different hoyoverse account on email/password login [e-mail]

but to have both be for the same hoyoverse account you would have had to specifically set the email to be the same as your google account (if you use that) but it doesnt auto do it for you

ah, well unfortunately you cant delete a game account from the hoyoverse account, theres no button to do that. you can ask HSR customer support if they will help but the last i heard hoyoverses policy in general is that they cannot unlink accounts and hi3 can only unlink accounts if they're still in teh tutorial. but can always ask HSR support (their email is in the pins)

internet is a very old and complicated system, there's lots of flaws in it and so unfortunately the security measures have to be pretty strict

considering people that are attempting to guess a password or reroll new accounts too often in a short period of time get it semi frequently its probably a security flag for abnormal behavior since normally a user doesnt try to create 15 new hoyoverse accounts within 1 day and so on

old mihoy pass is the old account system back in like 2018 but your new account doesnt have that so you can always put "doesnt apply" or something like that.

also if your main account isnt very high unless you have something on your old account that you're really nostalgic to then it would honestly be better to start over, leveling is wildly faster, back in 2018 it took like a month to get to level like 40 or something and nowadays you can get to lvl 88 in 3 weeks not too hard and the starter account rewards are likely better than what you had, in fact if you havent played since 2018 i can guarantee you that literally every character from back then is either free/farmable or is severely underpowered compared to anyone new or what you'd get from the starter rewards

just my 2 cents but yeah just put not applicable or something like that for the old mihoyo pass. you're trying to unbind a new lvl 1 account, not anything else so every piece of info needs to be about the lvl 1 account and if something doesnt apply to the lvl 1 account then put doesnt apply or something like that in the box

is anyone else having performance problems after the latest updates? since they changed the valk menu i get fps drops when i'm using it, and sometimes my whole pc freezes for a few seconds or sometimes minutes when i do something in the valk gear menu, even just scrolling down the stigma ui can freeze it sometimes, my pc can handle pretty well the rest of the game, missions and other menus included, and i think it might be a compatibility problem, since gi and sr are unplayable on my pc for now due to compatibility issues with my integrated graphics card

small updates are done in the game itself so it would update after you launch the game. downloading that client in the pins would still need to do the game update after you launch the game which for a fresh install is at least like 10GB iirc, the main update you would have to do manually is every patch you'd have to download the client (without launcher) and then unzip it in the game folder where bh3.exe is and let it replace any files

and yes it can be unzipped with winrar, it doesnt have to be with 7zip

honestly if you dont wanna manually download and update every patch i'd recommend doing teh steps i linked to fix it for this patch

with the steps? yes it will verify but the main reason verifying fails is almost always due to a connection issue corrupting the download and manually downloading it through your web browser usually downloads it much better, or even best is using one of the custom launchers in that pin, they have a lot more reliable download built into the software so it fails much less often

3. extract it
4. pray that the download wasnt corrupted at all since there wont be any verification so if any files were corrupted you wont find out till the game starts crashing

if that fails though then i highly recommend the better custom launcher in the pins. its made by one of the mods here and downloads/updates a lot better than the official launcher

But if your issue is that your account is linked to a hoyoverse already and you dont know what it is then you'll need to email customer support (email address here #how-to-contact-cs ) and explain y our issue and provide your UID (you can see your UID in the account retreival button after you log into the mihoyo account part and it shows your account level and UID in the first half of it)

Can someone help me here? I have completely downloaded the game through the launcher normally, and had played for a day. I woke up and I find out I have to re-download because the launcher can't detect anything, apparently? I might have messed things up trying to get the controller to work by deleting config.ini by mistake, but I dunno what to do now. I can launch the game normally if I run BH3.exe directly, but the launcher insists on redownloading everything.

this may take a bit of time but if you want you can try one of the custom launchers in the first pin, they'll detect your game installation and frankly they do a better job and updating than the regular launcher and have stuff like being able to change the resolution outside of the game

yeah forgot password still works, one thing that gets a lot of people that you can check is manually type both the email and the password, dont auto fill or copy and paste because sometimes it adds a blank space at the end and that counts as incorrect

but yeah if that doesnt help the forgot password link still works, if the game is acting up at the forgot password in game then you can do forgot password at account.hoyoverse.com as well

afaik the S23 with Xclipse GPU have "issues" mostly because is a new one/less common that any other gpu
