Dragon Krystals are obtained mainly through resells
Of gold and diamond characters, and also krypt and Tower gear if they're maxed
You can collect up to 60 dragon Krystals per day
Sometimes they increase the cap to 120 especially when a new character was added (e.g. Ghostface)
...so that people can try their luck at the summon pack featuring the desired character
At the cost of 150 dragon Krystals per 10 pull
Also, there's summon packs of currently running towers so that you can make towers easier to beat by spending dragon krystals on them
I did with the Lin Kuei Tower so I can have Frost Axe maxed out
...which I did in the 2020 iteration through its 110th stage
What made Frost Orb so good was it's FX effect
Immunity to both frostbite and stun
So that means an enemy MK11 Sub-Zero would have difficulties slowing you down
The stun happens on his SP2 at 90%+
