Shot Mithrix with the fin, sent him up in the air and then used Operator special and he got sent up further then just got stuck there and started falling so slowly I killed him before he touched the ground.

oh yeah the transport drones too but they dont seem to initate the problem
i dont think he should be able to get launched by the special it seems weird

He's always been useless in the air but he usually has his dash to cleanse the fin debuff so he doesn't stuck in the air the whole fight however since the nano-bugged debuff is considered to be damaging he can't cleanse it with a dash so he just gets stuck in the air if you can perma stall him
