I really like the alt maps for the first 2 stages, the kinda make the originals look meh, at least roosts

I feel like the messed something up though because even on other maps I was clipping through the ground pretty easy

also the alt is really easy to get just pop your ass on drizzle and tele rush first stage and reset until you get aqueduct s2, then repeat until you get a dune on s2

I already thought Rex was a very strong character even in normal play. I couldn't understand everyone asking for a Rex buff, since I thought he was among the strongest. The buffs that he got this patch are so huge I think he's easily the strongest character. I still haven't unlocked Acrid, but I can't imagine he's as strong as Rex.

it doesn't take that long once you know what items help cut off significant time

it tends to be more of an exercise in cost-benefit since spending the time to get items is usually not worth it if they aren't directly in your path

If you are just trying to be as fast as possible and not doing the merc challenge, then you can watch the Cabbage's rex video for previous seed and you will notice that its very unlikely that there is an item anywhere that would make the run faster even if it happened to be at a perfect spot

Make sure to keep grinding the same prismatic trial. Find all of the items in it, and make sure you can cover for any weaknesses that would be there. Learn how to space Shift and the R ability well, and remember the spin can finish off enemies p well. Either use shift or r to finish off crystals so they don't explode on you, and keep practicing. Make sure to take out lesser wisps asap, as they're near hitscan with their aim. Movement items are really good picks, as they both allow you to dodge projectiles and reach tele faster. Try to make it to the tele within the first third of the easy timer, and dodge enemies. If you cant do it this seed, there's no shame in waiting for another. Cabbage puts out a vid for every seed, and following those will likely help out the most.

im not saying there shouldnt be a challenge at all i like most of the challenges in the game and they form a progression however the merc challenge is far above the rest. its a complete outlier in its difficulty

yeah but it can be completed pretty easily with some practice, it's not like it's entirely rng reliant or based on some sort of artificial difficulty. other challenges are much easier in comparison but i dont see how they're really any fun when you get them through normal play mostly

well iv tried to do what you do in your videos and i run into problems every time like a wisp spawning behind me and sniping me or i dont even know how many lemurians spawning during a boss fight against a titan or something and turning it into a bullet hell

I don't know how good is a rout that i try to take, normally i try doing it normally opening every chest and seeing only the good item, trying to dodge some attacks and try to memorize it but i can't beat bosses without taking damage

when i got the ethereal thing, the day that challenge came out, the trial had like 3-4 attack drones and i just let them draw all the enemy aggro while i ran around and hid and let them fight everything

Trials are special needs and explaining, trials are the only place in the game where elite worms can spawn. So what you're getting is an overloading normal magma worm and not and overloading worm

Depending on how fast/slow you go, you will end up getting different bosses due to how the directors work. I assume Cabbage went faster and therefore got a more low-cost boss

I noticed that if you use primary before you start eviscerate your primary still goes out

yeah, just holding down primary will make your auto attack come out even when using any other ability so

if you just hold it down you maximize your damage and everything else cancels its animation
