you can also get him to trimp off the ramp once he finishes his spinning attack and runs/dashes towards you, dealing fall damage and also allowing you to gauntlet him right before he touches the ground

that's probably the only instance of a sidegrade being the closest thing to an upgrade that i can really think of

spider mines are actually super fun

because when you get to high density stages with a lot of enemies, and when you need to use your mines in a pinch, you can't really take advantage of the pressure mines' full damage

the only scenario i can think of is quite literally just stage 1-2 teleporters when the teleporter zone is relatively clear prior to activation and you can arm the pressure mines for the tp boss

but if you're taking an ability that cannot last you past the first couple stages in a run then...

i basically said that pressure mines are almost always seemingly worse than spider mines because you cannot take advantage of their only upside which is the 900%(?) damage, forget if its base or total, when armed, very far into your run

but that's just my observation, i could be playing them completely wrong and would love to be enlightened

if it procced bands that would be a reason to get it imo
