Still getting this issue. Anyone know how to fix this? In more detail, I cannot join ANY lobbies successfully other than the ones hosted on my personal internet. If I try, the below happens. If others try to join mine, they have this occur too.
I've reinstalled and verified multiple times, so I believe it probably is a connection based issue. As a workaround, I was able to Hamachi someone on a different internet to play with them. Can anyone shed some light on this? @pallid ibex

Hey so the bloom thing- you type in Disable in config instead of 1 or 0 and make the config read only. solved
Only problem is it wont save any changes past that, so you want to set everything up the way you want it and THEN do this.
Also, I keep geting dc'd no matter what in quickplay, much more often after this patch, and the internet's not cutting out. Help?

hey uhhh I noticed a problem/bug/whatever in Risk of Rain 1 today (others have noticed it before me)
apparently the in-game completion percent is stuck at 99.90%. after some googling it seems some people see this as due to an item being removed along with the achievement for it? but i have both that item and achievement so i don't know what they are talking about.

Hey all, for the past 2 days I've been having problems with the game freezing on me. It typically happens within 5 minutes of starting a run.
And after force closing the game, my mouse cursor is super laggy, I can't click on anything, and my computer continuously beeps whenever I touch the mouse
Restarting the computer fixes that, but playing RoR2 and having it freeze starts it up again

Hello, still Unity crash with some random numbers happen every 3rd or 4th run. Very annoying to have them as the crashes could happen 5 minutes in or 1 hour in.

@shut shale I've got the problem myself and I've seen other people having it too. Some people say that it's the game writing to the savefile and that having Steam on a SSD helps. But I have friends with no SSD and they don't have the problem so that might no be it.

if your camera keeps looking down, check for game controllers in the HID section of device manager even if no controllers are plugged in. In fact, I bet that it's because no controllers are plugged in that it's causing problems.

FIX Please restart steam and then Right Click "Risk of Rain 2" -> Local Files -> Verify Integrity of Game Files. The save file should come back from Steam Cloud.

Hey fellas. I'm one of the guys with a higher end computer that, for some reason, gets 15-20 FPS during any level past 3, basically. I've got a GTX 1070 and an i7-2600K, and my siblings with an old i3 and 750Ti is able to get solid 90 FPS in fights.
I've heard the issue has been reported a lot, and the devs acknowledged it, but I was curious if the community has found any work arounds or potential solutions for it?
I did read about the exclusive fullscreen trick, and alt-tabbing twice, and that actually helped, but only getting me about +5-10 FPS, so I'm still below 30 and often times dipping under 20 during fights.
Just curious if y'all with your ears on the ground have heard anything more about it, or potential fixes.

Symptoms:
- I am unable to join people's lobbies. When clicking the "Accept Invitation" button, nothing happens.
- People are unable to join my lobby. People joining my lobby see it flash up for a moment, and then receive a black screen. This persists for around 15 seconds, before the person attempting to join my lobby is dumped back to the main menu.
- I am unable to enter quickmatch. When I click "Enter Quickplay", I receive the messages "Entering Quickplay", followed by "Not in quickplay queue". After a few seconds, all of the buttons grey out, and nothing further happens.
I'm behind two layers of NAT, but have not had issues with any other games.
Any suggestions? Game looks fun, would rather not have to refund.
I disabled my router's firewall, and whitelisted the game in my local firewall. I've tried connecting over a VPN, still no luck. When attempting to join quickmatch, I see the following in my logs:

what you can do is simply copy your game folder to somewhere to back it up, then delete the game and re-install

Just got the game, when I launch my mouse and task bar go away and I hear music but nothing happens. When I tried the alt enter trick I get a serious of windows that pop up over each other. Hey there! I have a two problems playing ROR2:
- First one is black "windows" when pressing Shift + Tab to open Steam overlay.
- Second one is control problem. Sometimes keyboard and mouse responsed after few seconds. As an example - I've pressed space to jump, but jumped 3-5 seconds later, I've pressed W for a while and then released it, but I still running forward, etc.

Hi just wanted to let you know that my game is working now, yesterday I wrote here because I was unable to launch the game, I could see game process in task manager(using 0%cpu and 2MB of memory), steam also thought game was running, but nothing happened,. I tried reinstalling, checking game files, driver reinstall, VC redist reinstall etc. but nothing helped. I reinstalled the windows today and it is working now.

there is a bug where the profile data isn't recognized, if you did steam verify already and it didn't help, you can create a copy of the unrecognized profile and copy it over to a new profile.

for that just go to C:/Program files(x86)/Steam/userdata/string of numbers/632360/remote/UserProfiles.
Then open the xml. files in notepad. copy the one that has extra data written in, like unlocks, and copy the whole thing, paste this into the other xml file and save
its worked for me without it resetting my progress again
there were 2 files with a random string of letters and numbers, one was an empty profile, the other had my original profile data on

are there any good solutions to the ~30 fps stutter / frame drop when an item is picked up? I've moved the game to an ssd, and an ssd m.2 and neither really fixed the issue. I've also messed around with a bunch of settings and nothing seems to help it

Menu is fine but loading into the game will cause all of my sounds on my computer to get quiet and/or compressed, and randomly the sound will "chop" into normal but literally for a split second making the audio choppy randomly, returning to the main menu sets it back to normal. Hi, I've just got this game but I'm having trouble playing on my PS4 controller. I have already had to assign O to sprint but I can't find a means to ping or bring up info. my gpu is not overheating, it only gets up to like 68 C max

but the game just is not using it
ALSO, the game actually has 80% to 100% usage of my gpu in the lobby and menus, but once the game starts it'll drop to about 50%, then eventually will end up around 30%

i just know that this game is not graphically intense enough to be killing my pc like this. i have played 60+ hours of sekiro, a significantly more visually demanding game, without dropping from 60 fps a literal single time.
and it's probably much higher than that, too, since the game is capped there
maybe the game is just not optimized. i can't really complain since it's in EA/alpha, but i will certainly look forward to better utilization of my pc.

which is strange considering how machine_check_exception is supposed to be a hardware failure

Disclaimer PS4 Controllers might have some issues on PC. Try Enabling PS4 Controller support on steam Settings>Controller>General Controller Settings
And rebinding the exact same buttons

hey guys...i fixed my fps issues. All I did was lock my gpu core clock speed at the boost clock. That way the game can't underclock my gpu. I was using msi afterburner, but it wasn't quite doing what I wanted. So I'm using precisionX to do this. Just some background information on what my issue was. I have a 980 ti and during gameplay, i was losing frames because the game was underclocking my gpu for some reason. hope this helps!

So, I couldn't get this game to load at all before today. I was testing out another CPU in my computer. My main CPU is a 7700K and swapped that out for a 7600K temporarily. I was able to load the game perfectly fine with the 7600K, but once I switched back to the 7700K, the game won't load at all.
Any theories, folks?
