#Restricted Pool of techniques/gears ?

Hi there !

I'm not sure if it's a bug or not but we played a fair amount of games, most of them are now done in endless and with friends we made a statement.

When we are looking for specifics (and it is even worse when we are looking for 1 or 2 gears) gears or techniques (yes it occurs for techniques too even if we usually are taking whatever it's offered and basically don't look for one in particular) we can reroll and level up as much as we can we sometimes NEVER gets them, even in games that we go to level 140+.

So knowing that we tried to play more games with that in mind and it appears that we have a restricted pool of gears (cause like i said we don't focus that much on techniques so i can't tell much about it) and no matter what we can do (banishing, rerolling, replacing existing gears etc...) there is always few gears that we can't get no matters if it's synergy or not.

We perfectly knows that RNG can suck sometimes but games with at least all members 100+ facing the same issue seems hard to explain when it occurs so often. We played a lot of games with friends and it's always the same, we just can adjust our techniques to fit our gears since other side is totally impossible and it's not a good design.

So, for all of those things i am rather convinced it's a bug instead of a real huge lack of luck.

Maybe we definitely miss something or is there even a hidden rule we don't get but that's what is happening for all of our group of friends.

Thanks.

I'm unsure exactly what it is you are referring to but if you guys are all looking for the same gear (like each of you wants a drill) then there is only per game. For example if you pick up a drill then nobody else in that lobby can have drill as well. The benefits also do not extend to other players. So if you pick up drill not only are you the only person who can use it for that entire match you are also the only person who gets the benefits of it.

... Is this what you were referring to?

Well, thanks a lot for this clarification.

That's kinda sort of what i was trying to explain, yes. I was speaking about the fact that some people in lobby cannot find the gear they need/want. I didn't know about the fact that only 1 person in lobby can get the same gear so it could explain lot of things.

I was initially speaking about few gears never in pool for the entire run like we could only see 80%/90% of all the possible gears but maybe we would get the same, or already picked one that our friend wanted.

I honestly have some doubts on it since we take care to not play same element temtems and only try to get synergy gears so we theorically don't want the same gear but knowing what you said now, i will need more time to check and go back for a feedback.

Anyways thanks for the fast answer and sorry again if i'm not so clear, i try my best.

It's fine. You might also have a hard time finding some gear as some are more rare than others. Every gear has a rarity tied to it and if you are looking for something with a high rarity it will be very hard to find and might not even spawn within your match due to how rare it is.

I was aware for the gear rarity tier as well as there is a rarity upgrade tier, anyways thanks for precising it.

Just to be sure : If any gear is offered to a party member and this member don't pick it, that gear will be eventually offered to any other party member till someone pick it ?

Yes. But once it is picked it is out of the pool for that match

It's also worth mentioning that if you pick up an gear that synergizes with a party member's technique, they will still be able to upgrade to the synergy. There's no "locking an ally out of a synergy technique", so you don't need to worry about that.
One more thing that does impact finding gear and such, is that some gears are locked behind kudos and skills. For example, you need to unlock the Dash skill on the Temtem you're using in order for the dash gears to show up for you to use.
