Just bought the game literally this morning and it turns out synergies don't acutally work if you're evolved. Or at least so far they haven't worked for me at all. They haven't appeared a single time in my game even when I had 2 correct items that should have synergized.

Also, if the evolution and the synergy are available then you will only see one of them, usually the evolution. But you can block the evolution to see the synergy instead

So there's a couple of things that this could be. The first and most likely is that you aren't evolving which takes up your upgrade slot. There's only one upgrade slot available on level up so if you have an evolution it will take up that upgrade slot and you won't be able to upgrade your techniques into synergies.
The second thing is that you also need to have this energy unlocked in the first place. You unlock a synergy by upgrading the technique to level 5 in a game and then you need to start a new game in order to use that synergy. Once you have unlocked a synergy you cannot use that synergy within the same game you started

Hi 👋🏻 You need to be evolved to have access to sinergies, the evolution slot will always take its place. If you want to play with a pre evolved Tem, you can always block the Evolution when it appears, and then sinergies will start appearing
