This makes it very awkward to select things and shouldn't be automatically tied to cursor location, rather click and drag or arrow keys should be the method to navigate the larger menus

So the reason for this is controller controls. No way to do a drag drop option with a controller. But enable PC to have this option would be good.

maybe a "pathway" system, flick the stick to hop to the next option? I feel it would still be awkward with controller but I havent tried it myself

Yeah the kudos menu is actually quite bad in my opinion, it's difficult to navigate. With the segments poorly articulated, the parallax effect, the background art not corresponding to anything on the menu itself, and labels being invisible until you mouse over them and not divided visually or having any logic in their placement.

It's surviveable and I don't want to be wholley negative on something but it's just hard to get around
