Atoll Road Floor Plan Issue

I have tried over and over again to edit my house on Atoll Row, and every time I edit it to a new floor plan it defaults back to the last design I had when I get back on after shutting the game off. It only saves if I move items around in the current floor plan (Rectangular), but if I switch to a different floor plan and make a new design inside the floor plan it never saves even if I click exit and save when finished. I'm currently trying to switch to the Three Corners Floor Plan, but I have also tried with the Cozy, Comfy, and Dual Niche plans as well and they all default back to my current design with the rectangular floor plan after saving with or without any decorations in the house.

@rough shadow you can see I edit the house from the original plan at the beginning then add a few decorations, click exit and save, go into the house to show the changes are "made", then when I exit the game and load back in it has defaulted back to the way it was before.
