Question 1: I chose the Cube specifically for the first section because the movements felt more natural, the Ufo and the spider have direct and clear input, it felt more natural to start off with the cube rather than any other given gamemode.
As for the second section, the Ball was the best option in my opinion because its slow gravity is perfect for slope gameplay.
The third section is interesting because I didn't really have a specific reason for choosing the ship; it’s more that it flows the best.
For the last section, the Spider was perfect for matching the beats energy.
Question 2: As for why I didn’t use the UFO and the Spider in the first section, I felt that their inputs were too direct, which made the beginning feel unnatural.
I also didn’t use the Robot or the Wave in the second section because the Robot’s physics felt awkward to play with, while the Wave felt too responsive.
I chose the Ship over the Swing and the UFO because the Swing essentially gave the player too little control over the gameplay, and even though the UFO could have worked, I ultimately didn’t choose it since it didn’t flow very well with the transition.
For the last part, I didn’t use the Swing or the Robot because they were the complete opposite of the Wave and didn’t work well with the ending.
