- While the level "fractured" does successfully achieve the monochrome theme, i just don't see any elements in the level that resemble a city like feel, which what he's going for here. The gameplay isn't too bad but that's not my point here. I see that the block design compared to the background makes it look too dim and on some white deco parts, the spikes that are a part of that deco make it too hard to distinguish, making this gameplay feel a bit hard to sightread.
In summary, the 3 main things wrong here would be that the theme he's going for along with his monochrome, a "city", isn't being displayed and the white spikes with white deco make it hard to see along with the dim block design with the dark bg.
- My suggestion is to add some dimly lit buildings and make them dimmer when behind each other in the bg, making a nighttime feel, (probably add a night sky along with it). Then, improve your block design by actually making the darker blocks look brighter, contrasting the buildings in the back, then make the white spikes visible with the white glow around it, or maybe use a contrasting color like black, but that's just my take on this, I wont force this upon ya.
