`Recording` FAQ

Need help recording your levels? Be sure to follow these steps.

  1. Download a Recording Software. You can use OBS for Windows or Mac, Xrecorder or Mobizen on Android, and the iOS Recorder if you have an Apple device.
  2. If you want to bot your level (on PC), install Mega Hack v7 or ReplayBot for the recording.
  3. Install your softwares, double-check that everything works, and then record your level.
  4. Find your recording and make sure it's in the .mp4 or .mov file formats. If you're using OBS, be sure to remux your recording to convert it.
  5. If your recording is too large for Discord, be sure to compress it to the proper size.

If you're unable to record your levels yourself, upload your level to the Geometry Dash servers and make a post in #1368682916107911218 asking for someone else to record it. We'll also give you extra XP for each recording you provide to other members.

If none of these options work, please let us know.
