1 - Before reading the idea - i had no idea that this was city themed. The structures looked like regular structures instead of buildings or apartments.
Also for this level idea, why is the song so happy? A monochrome level (in my opinion), should not have an energetic song like that.
2 - I would add a background with buildings, maybe even a moon, just something that resembles a city in general.
For the song, i would pick a sadder song because the level is supposed to feel "monochrome".
3 - I dont think so, i think both of my solutions are different enough than eachother.
