Please follow the instructions carefully. The monster and spike should have their base color set to red and their detail color set to black. Additionally, the monster should have the "NoTouch" option enabled so that you don't die to it and instead phase right through it. Also, you don't need two portals. What you need to do is tick the "NoEffect" option so that there is no particle effect when teleporting, and also the "No Multi Activate" option, which causes the portal to only activate once. And please remember to set the Z-Layer and Z-Order numbers as well.
