first time building in a year+ so im probably quite rusty.
here's a super early concept just to get my foot in the door

i figure saying nothing about the level will give me more authentic data, so just go in blind and have fun. no spoilers.

i care not what kind of feedback you give, just give something. even if it's an unbelievably small comment, such as disliking a J-Block, or wishing a spike hitbox was a couple pixels shorter.

BUT --

if your device can handle it, send a VIDEO recording of your FIRST playthrough.
this way, i can see more clearly how you're reacting to certain portions of the level.

The biggest problem I had was probably the wonky hitboxes of warped spikes

Then, as u will see from the vid, there were some jumps on which I struggled way more than others

Most notably around 69%

I died a lot to the blue orbs at the beginning but that was more of a skill issue

I would suggest adding some form of jump indicator, in order to make certain jumps more intuitive

no worries, your feedback is 100% valid

level spoilers (blurred for those who haven’t played):
||ok so what i’m thinking — i’m not adding jump indicators, as i want people to observe for themselves the path forward, rather than blindly follow what the level tells them to do. it’s like AAA games that add yellow paint. not good.||

so instead of that, i have a potential diff solution in mind. be back tomorrow 👋

To be honest, it looked like it overused blue orbs + blue pads, and the gameplay is unbalanced. I also would recommend changes to the brightness of objects, and not extending the spikes too much because it would deform the hitbox. Instead, stack multiple spikes and when you decorate the level, it can look like stalagmites/stalactites.

And if you keep the blue orbs + pads, they could look like part of a waterfall.
