the ship, swing, and ufo parts all lack structuring and variety. to make your ship parts, ufo, etc be more fun, try using more unique elements than free flying through a large gap. headhitters, resting on blocks, orbs, slopes, and whatever else can make it more fun. also, im not a fan of the green orb spam at 83, the dash orb at 60 seems to go on for too long. the coin at 2% is easier than the intended path, and if you dont go the coin path, the spider orb is almost out of vision. the black orb at 5% is a bit offscreen. i would also like to see more variety at the spider part at 8-13%, just height variation or orb play would be ample. finally, the wave transition at 22% has a blind blue portal. the first run through i instinctively treated it as an upside down wave, not realizing i was supposed to be normal gravity. the transition to the swing after that is very hard and should have a platform to rest or some pads or smth. the robot transition at 39% doesnt work most of the time, as i go over the platform.
other than a few issues of consistency and lack of structures, its pretty good
oh yeah also the moving block at 50% makes it so half the orbs dont need to be clicked
the level also abruptly stops during a piece of the song, the ending should probably sync with the music
the balancing is fine
1 more thing about the coins, the second coin is way too close to the first imo
and if you're looking for structure feedback, the outline structures you did at the beginning are a bit abstract. if thats a design choice, so be it, but they are really slopey. generally, sloped structures should open as they get further from the player, meaning wider at the top and bottom of the screen. also generally with structures you want them to connect to the top/bottom of the player's vision
there isnt a "right" or "wrong" way to do structures
just whatever you think looks good
Added 500 xp to finrex01., they are now level 9 with 3,852 xp.
