I’m in a bit of a pickle, I’m making a troll game and I’ve taken a lot of inspiration from Mario, in one aspect I have an assortment of blocks that do stuff when you hit them from the bottom. Some of them will spin around, allowing you to pass through them. Others will dispense items. Some just plain laugh and do nothing else. But I do know one thing, blocks that do stuff are gonna use groups.
Originally, I was just gonna copy paste them and use build helper, maybe change a couple things if the block needs to be configured, but as I added in functionality I slowly started to realize that there would be an unreal amount of triggers at play as well as wasted groups, and my triggers would not only be unorganized, but my level would be nigh unplayable due to the amount of triggers running at once.
Please, this is a cry for help, is there some sort of mechanic akin to variables that can maybe help me save groups, or should I just cut my losses and live with the mortal sin that is, needlessly wasting groups.
